I am giving them full stars because of their excellency in everything. Cleanliness, hospitality, food, rooms, internet, the best lobby, tremendous outside view. Overall, I would love to stay here in my next vacation. Ohh, I forgot to mention the rates are also not so high that you would change your mind. or may be it is something depend totally on your budget. Anyhow, I would recommend it to all!
if you are handicapp beware of this hotel chain. it is obvious that this place does not cater to the handicapp. this was our honeymoon and we booked it in advance and paid it in advance. we booked a handicapp accessible room with a kingsize bed. we even called the hotel to verify this. but when we got there to check in we were told they changed our reservation with out contacting us to a room on the second floor as far from an elevater as possible. and when we complained we were told that everyone that books the handicapp room doesnt want it so we (the hotel) changed it and since they only have one room available with 2 full size beds you have to take it. they did not care about our disability and since it was paid in advance there was nothing we could do. they also refused to do anything for us like give us a refund or even give us free breakfast, this hotel ruined our honeymoon stay and since i travel to vt several times per year as well as book the travel for my company i will make sure myself, my company and all of my friends never stay at any holiday inn again. we even called corporate and they didnt care either, they just wanted to know which was more inconvenient.
Also they barely clean the room, all they do is change the towels which we got dirty ones and make the bed. they dont refresh the toiletries or vacuum the rooms or change the linenes either.
also the next day we found a woman in the lobby with her handicapp son trying to check in. she had a confirmation number but was told there are no rooms, i really wonder if they didn't delete her confirmation so they could get more money since the rooms were listed for $100 more that day then when we booked it.
IF YOU ARE HANDICAPP AND EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT PAY THE EXTRA MONEY (WHICH ISNT MUCH) TO EITHER STAY NEXT DOOR AT THE HAMPTON INN SUITES OR ANY OTHER HOTEL IN THE AREA.
i literally could NOT give this place a worse review. every last thing was terrible at the HOWELL , MI location. The front desk girls were terrible. the management was worse. and the management company - an indian man named Assad Malek- is the biggest piece of SHlT ever. Holiday Inn will NEVER EVER EVER EVER get my business again, nor will they get the business of ANYONE at my wedding. They were absolutely horrible. I cant even begin to explain how bad the experience was. Mark my words
Hard to find. Check well before driving there because address is approximate on Google Maps (2 our GPSs failed). Construction is going on around the hotel (March 2013). We stayed there for 3 nights with my sister and her 2 kids (6 & 1 y.old). Front desk people were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, but it was overcrowded and we had to wait for a table to seat. Swimming pools are fine especially for kids 2-7 years old. I was surprised on the 2nd day when I gave housekeeper 5 $ and asked her to leave extra conditioner in the room she replied "Do you want me to clean the room?!" I said yes. When we came back that night we were surprised again because she did not remove the garbage from the room. So we got an idea that it is unusual for them to clean the rooms while guests are absent. The next morning before we left (around 11 am) we put a sign outside (on the handle) "please change the linens". We got back after 7 pm and our room was untouched. (tips were not collected though). It was too late to complain... so I decided to let front desk know the next day, but she did not ask me anything about my stay. So I decided to write a review here because it's very disappointing. We paid over 420 dollars for 3 nights and our room was not special - 2 queen size beds. I don't think I demand something special, just expected them to clean my room... Definitely will stay at another hotel next time.
