        General Info
        The Gouverneur Volunteer Rescue Squad was founded in 1967. In the beginning, we were only able to provide Basic Life Support, and ran a one ambulance fleet. Over the years our organization has dramatically grown. Since then, we now have the capabilities of providing 24/7 Advanced Life Support, along with Basic Life Support. Our fleet has gone from one ambulance, to four fully equipped Advanced Life Support ambulances, and one fully equipped Fly Car. We have also expanded our organization to provide non-emergency medical transports with our DOT hydraulic lift ambulates. Not only do we provide emergency care for 9-1-1 calls, but upon a surrounding hospitals request we are able to provide inter-facility transports out of hospitals to improve patient care, and transport patients to receive advanced or specialty care. Our continuous mission is to provide the highest quality of care we possibly can to the communities we serve. We always try to improve ourselves and our skills with continuous education to better serve our community and others.

        Here at Gouverneur Rescue, We offer Non- Emergency Wheel-Chair & Stretcher Transportation. We have Custom Built Vans which are DOT Compliant, and Drivers that are Competent and Caring. We offer vans with raised roofs for patient comfort, and hydraulic lifts for patient safety. Below Are Examples of The Types of Destinations We Are Able to Transport our Clients To: * Cancer Treatment (Chemotherapy/Radiation) * Clinics * Dialysis Treatment * Doctor's Appointments * Hospitals * Nursing Facilities * Private Residence Pick Up * Rehabilitation Centers * Special Engagements We are able to bill some insurance directly. If you do not have insurance, or have a question about your insurance, we will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. If you have an up-coming appointment and need a service that can transport you by Wheel-chair and/or Stretcher, Feel free to call us anytime.
