Evacuating family from east coast of Florida, prior to Hurricane Matthew. Located a hotel in Venice, Florida and booked a standard room for $287 per night, two nights, (plus a $200 tax recovery charges & service fee). Within ten minutes, booked another room for family members, same hotel, same room type, through the hotel itself and the rate was $119.60/night with a $30 resort fee. Thinking there was a mistake, I contacted both GetARoom and the Hotel. The hotel could do nothing and Get A Room would do nothing. Additionally, my son and his family also booked a two bedroom suite in the same hotel for only $157/night, plus $30 resort fee. This one is gong to the Price Gouge complaint site with the Florida Atty Gen's office.!OpenForm

Beware of cancellation fees. Booked rooms 8 mo. in advance for Beaune, France. yes, I was told of $200 per room cancellation fee but was desperate. When other options opened up three days later - no flexibility. I offered to book hotel I wanted through this group - but no ... no flexibility ... and its 8 MONTHS before the booking. I learned my lesson. Still trying to reach out to someone for some reasonable resolution.

horrible experience. no customer service when I got to the hotel and they messed up my reservation. They said they would get back to me in 24-96 hours, after 7 days and I left the hotel, still no answer and had to pay a lot extra.
