I've used multiple Penske group companies with great results, including both Porsche, Audi, and Mercedes over the past 15 years. However, I can't say the same about Fairfield Collision Center. These guys are clearly the black sheep of the Penske group. The experience repairing my 911 Porsche was absolutely abysmal. The original quote was for 3 days of work. This snowballed into over 3 weeks at a cost many times the original estimate. The people I dealt with were incompetent, rude, and absolutely dishonest. I literally had the manger of the place calling me two weeks into it to say that the gentleman managing my account, Ralph Acampora, was about to retire, sometimes forgot things, and had health issues, . . . and this is why there was a complete breakdown in communication with both me, their internal team, and the insurance company. Then I had Ralph blaming it on the receptionists and so on and so forth. I've never received such a run around from a Penske group company or any other major automotive company. Then to top it off, when I finally got my car back the lights in the bumper were literally falling out because they were incorrectly installed. Incompetence and mismanagement are the two words that come to mind when I think of Fairfield Collision Center. My advice is to avoid these guys like the plague. Save yourself a lot of hassle, time, and money . . . and take your work elsewhere.
They promised to have my car repaired in 8 days, later Rick, said the hood ordered was the wrong model and it would take an extra week. Now I have to pay Enterprise, my out of pocket rental expense plus additional $150.00. They refused to take responsibility and told me it was not their fault. They replaced my Head light and the inside housing is black when the other side Head light has silver housing. After this bad experience, I would not recommend anyone to do business with Fairfield Collision.
Unfortunately,we have no control over damaged and back orderd parts.When we give a customer a timeframe, we estimate the hours in the job assuming that the parts are available.As far as the headlamp,we ordrered the desinated part from the vin number and that was the lamp that was installed.
These guys did not stand y their lifetime guarantee for me. They replaced a latch which no longer works and they will not replace it now. I feel they probably used a crappy generic latch instead of real part.
Our work is warranteed for as log as you own the car with certain terms and conditions.Unfortunately, parts are only warranted for their manufacturers warranty which is about a year in most cases on non mechanical parts.Please call me and I could discuss this with you further to try to help you out.
