What I had done:
- Take down insulation on cellar ceiling, foam holes, put old insulation back up and another layer of R-19 -- this was because the floors and rooms above were cold
- Insulated attic area all around the house
Result:
I haven't had to run my A/C the past week because the house stays between 74-77°F, and I'm excited to see what my power bill looks like!
I originally asked Kevin to come out and give me an estimate in March when I had an energy assessment done. I got distracted by other projects and never got around to taking care of the insulation. I called back in September to see if they would still be able to make it out to do the work, and Kevin came out the next day to reassess and make sure the estimate was still accurate. He and his team of two others, Mike and Juan, came out the following day, a Saturday nonetheless, and completed the job in a day.
