Direct Towing

If zero stars was a possible rating, I would give it. This is one of the shadiest towing companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It is no wonder their history is riddled with customer complaints of being overcharged. I was told my rate would be locked in, only to be charged an additional $50 "gate fee" for picking it up the next day. My car was also kept in the sandiest, dirtiest lot and needed a heavy duty car wash just to get it back to it's normal shine. Look somewhere else if you need a towing service.

I had a few questions about my experience (not sure my car was handled properly and may have been damaged while being loaded and unloaded) and decided to call the office to speak with the owner to help determine if I should pursue the matter further. The woman who answered the phone refused to allow me to speak with the owner. I stayed calm and very nice throughout the conversation and was never confrontational in any way, but she was unbelievably rude and defensive. I would never allow someone like that to represent my company. I will never do business with them again and will advise my friends and acquaintances of my experience. (The man who did the actual towing was very nice and I liked him, but he did not seem to be very careful.)

as a former employee i could say bad things but let me tell you i have never worked for a nicer boss than joe.the hole crew is his famaly and he treets all employees like we are his own kids.i worked there almost 3 years and lernd alot.i truly beleve that as long as thay stay true like that than thay will be the best in sarasota county.yours truly rob

On July 4th they were towing cars of people going to see the fireworks so fast and reckless, they had to have damaged some of them or others nearby. They almost hit my daughter's car and we were in it driving. I could not believe the carelessness I was watching. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

I am responding to the review that the 50 ton had been repocessed. I use to work for direct towing. my name is Clint and direct towing was the best company I have ever worked for. Owner Joe is a great boss and treats his customers wonderful. Joe also treats his employees with respect and honor. if someone has something negative to say about joe or direct towing it's probably because the towed their illegally parked vehicle. so you cant always go by what you read. if you need a tow direct is the way to go. give them a call, you wont be disappointed. We are out of towners. The typical people that get screwed when needing a tow or car repairs. Direct Towing was great and went above and beyond. They towed the car both ways and actually repaired the vehicle for less than what I thought I would pay for a tow. They were courteous and responsive. I would highly recommend.

today I thought my car fell in a pot hole but come to find out my ball joint broke and I called Direct Towing and they sent a driver to me within 20 minutes (thank God) because I was causing a major traffic jam the driver was quick and careful loading my broken car and got me to the shop. I would recommend them to anybody.

Great service wonderful employees very pleasant on the phone and in person. The price is reasonable too!

I recently had an accident in the middle of the night with my 3 year old and was frantic. I called around and was given outrageous prices. I finally got Trish from Direct Towing she gave me a price that was far better from anyone else I had called. She told me she would have someone there within 30 minutes. She kept calling in contact with me to make sure we were safe and ok. Within 25 minutes Tony arrived and had me and my daughter off the road and home with no further damage to my car. He was clean, professional and made me feel at ease. It is nice to know that companies still care about people. If you have any towing needs I highly recommend Direct Towing as I am now a customer for life!!

I've never had such a pleasant experience while having my car towed ever! Mark was more than courteous and was happy to answer my questions and truly put me at ease. Fast response time, and I must say it was honestly the best end to a frustrating situation. I'd recommend Direct Towing to any loved ones or friends who find themselves broke down, locked out, or just generally having car troubles!
