Avant

After being signed with a HORRIBLE agency, that took a bunch of my money and then didn't get me any jobs, I went to Avant. When I signed with them, they told me I had a unique look that people would love, and I would have no problem booking jobs. The first month or two, they sent me on a lot of auditions, and I got a few good jobs. After that, it's just gone down hill. I've only had one audition in the past few months. They told me they would send me on any audition that I fit the look for, and that is obviously not true. They also say that they work very close to their talent, which they do not. They won't even talk to me on the phone. They just tell me to send an email, which they either don't reply to, or take forever to reply it to it. I recently sent an email with a few questions, one of them being why I wasn't getting any auditions, and they didn't give me an answer at all. Also, I've been waiting 3+ months for a $550 check. Very unprofessional. U fortuNly, I signed a contract :(

I used to be signed with Avant and there was never any jobs, such as paying runway shows or print work. The best they had was promo type stuff, and pro bono shows at the mall. The owner, Diana Sneckner doesn't seem to have many clients, those she claims to be one of the best agencies in town. (If that's true, then is no market in San Antonio for modeling.) Aside from not getting the jobs that you would want as a model...it takes forever to get paid on the few promo jobs you do get- I'm talking, like two months or longer..no joke! It should at the most take 30 days to be paid, but Avant keeps it for 60 days, so it can sit in their acct and gain interest. I know for a fact that one job I had paid Avant 3 days after the job was complete and it took them 4 months to cut me a check. That's absolutely ridiculous!! When you call to ask about your money, they tell you to contact accounting by email and then accounting never replys to your emails. You just shouldnt have to chase down your money

Not that great of an agency. The owner has no contacts,thereforecan't give you much jobs. Her son is a total jerk.

The son of the owner is a real jerk,watch out with him. Also,the owner doesn't have much contacts at all so there are not much jobs available unless you pay her a fortune on pictures.

Very professional....straight shooters. No hype..
