THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! Below is the link from NYC rules and regulations for movement of a vehicle. Please click link or copy and paste into your browser and inform yourselves.

http://rules.cityofnewyork.us/content/section-4-07-other-restrictions-movement

They tried to charge us $960 for a 1 mile tow. When we obviously disagreed on the price they dropped it down to $560 which was still excessive. We took it upon ourselves to contact 311 and the department of transportation of NY which informed us of the fee rate schedule for towing companies contracted with the state of NY. The fee rates are located on the link above.

Autorama feels like they can charge what ever they please since not all tow companies are allowed to tow from a NY major highway or bridge! This is completely unfair and unethical.

We are going to report Autorama to the DOT and the department of consumer affairs for jacking up prices to their convenience.

DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU OR TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!

Still undecided

So let's see car breaks down on the Cross Bronx Expressway. I called my insurance they tell me only one towing company does roadside on this highway... Autorama! And I would have to pay and later be reimbursed by my insurance company. The cost for the tow 136.00 with 10 free miles! When you have no choice what do you do? So the driver was great suggested I bring the car back to there shop because my serpentine belt went out. Turns out also my tensioner was seized which caused my belt to fail. So parts, labor, tax, tow, and up-charge for using a credit card it cost me 575.00! SMH like I said undecided...

LIARS, CROOKS AND THIEVES!! Dealing with the people at Autorama has been a nightmare!! Our car was hit by a taxi and the police called Autorama to have our car towed. We are from out of town and they totally took advantage of us. The insurance did not want the car to be fixed there. First they gave me a tow charge of $4000 to bring it to Ohio when all the tow companies in Ohio quoted me between $1100-$1500. Then they wouldnt accept my credit card over the phone to pay the bill and release the car to the transport company. When I told them I was from out of town and couldnt get there I was told "Well, that's your problem". SERIOUSLY??? Then they wouldnt accept a check from the insurance and said they only took cash or money orders. That is crazy!! They were rude, overpriced and totally terrible! Dont go here!!

First and foremost I will start off by saying that Miguel is awesome and the receptionists are great also. The only person I had a problem with was ERNIE. That being said I had an accident and my steering wheel axle was broken. Okay so everything seemed fine but when I drive at 55 mph my steering wheel begins to shake, car was veering and my steering was not aligned properly. I took it back it and ERNIE drove it around and then asked that I take him on the highway to see it shaking. So other than the fact that all he did was hit on me and talk about going to city island he said that it was a high speed balance problem and I should get my tires checked. Why would I have to do that seeing that this was the place that I paid to fix my car?? So when I called him back to bring the car in, he had an attitude and was trying to imply that I needed to take it somewhere else. I told him that I wasn't and that I paid and my car should be fixed. He then told me to bring in the car on a Tuesday, which apparently is his day off (Very professional). I actually didn't mind because I planned on asking that he didn't work on my car. Miguel was very nice and fixed my car up nice without any problem.

On Saturday, October 29th my .

On Saturday, October 29th my ’09 Honda was involved in a collision in lower Manhattan. The point of impact was the driver’s door and the whole left side of the car was smashed. Autorama Enterprises of Bronx, Inc towed my car and most efficiently coordinated with Allstate Insurance Co for mechanical and body repairs, which were appraised and approved on Monday, October 31st. New parts were ordered from Honda and Miguel, the very effective shop manager, stayed in phone touch regarding progress. On November 18th my restored and detailed car was delivered to me in lower Manhattan. The shock of a car crash is not easily forgotten, fortunately it wasn’t compounded by the disasters that one hears about trying to get the damage repaired. I recommend Autorama without reservation.
