I was suprised on the information on your website of the number of people that do not purchase the vehicle after the appraisal is complete. After reviewing the report and viewing the pictures, I withdrew from the deal. The seller had misrepresented the vehicle, i.e. 10 bolt differential vs 12 bolt advertised and good running cruiser vs engine hesitates, back fires, and has major oil leak. The service you provided was well worth the money. The search continues.
I'm terrible with names, otherwise I would mention the man that I spoke with. He gave me very valuable information quickly and professionally, and although I did not choose to use the services offered by the company, he sincerely wished me luck. He was calm through my frustration and took a lot of the weight off of my shoulders.

Recently I was looking at a classic car on Ebay that happened to be quite far away from where I live. The owner has described the car in great detail, and took some excellent pictures which made the car seem perfect. Even after talking to the owner on the phone, I was 100% confident this was the car for me. Nonetheless, I knew it was never a good idea to buy a car without having a professional look over the car first. I found Auto Appraise online, and was very impressed from the start with how the inspection was handled. Jason went out of his way to inspect the car on the owner's tight schedule and produced an amazingly detailed report with hundreds of pictures showing many defects and contradictions to the original ad on Ebay. We also discovered the car was not the model advertised, and the engine block casting number Jason pulled from the engine was actually for a 327ci, not a 350ci as the owner had advertised. Thanks to these major findings, along with a lot of other issues uncovered, Jason saved me about $7,000 from over-spending on a car that was really not very special and would never be worth the amount for which I almost paid. In the end owner refused to lower the price, or admit that he had misrepresented the car, so I walked away from the deal. I lost a deposit with the owner, and the amount of the appraisal, but I saved many more times that amount compared to being stuck with a car I overpaid for that needed a lot of work. I have since purchased the perfect 100% original number matching classic car near my home, and could not be happier thanks to Jason's professionalism and expertise.
Talked with Jason on the phone, and he was extremely helpful. He explained the in's and out's of getting an independant appraisal to challenge a lowball insurance company appraisal.

After a year of searching I finally found my dream car, but it was 800 miles away and I needed to have the car looked at by a professional - something I am not! Jason did an inspection for me on a 1970 Chevelle SS. He did a great job, sent more pictures than I was expecting, took more time with me on the phone than I was expecting, and his staff, including Autumn, were all very nice and professional. I recently finished working on an insurance claim and chose Auto Appraise to represent me. Long story short, my husband and I purchased his dream car, a 1968 Chrysler 300 in February 2009. In May 2009, after spending the previous months restoring the car, it was hit by a 94 year old man whose insurance company, after much fighting from our end, decided to total the vehicle. Aside from dealing with the heartbreak, we now how to deal with the fact that the insurance company was also trying to lowball us on the value of the car and leave us with a loan balance. In the beginning, the insurance company tried to state the car was worth only $4200 (we had originally purchased the vehicle for $7200 and spent an additional $5000 working to bring the engine and electrical into into tip top shape). Now, before even purchasing the car, we had done our research and knew that the car, after our improvements, would be worth $13,000. When I came to Auto Appraise, I had been fighting Allstate for 3 months on my own. After requesting a new appraisal from them, the value was still coming up short. Our next step was to purchase an appraisal of our own. With my husband out of work and an additional car payment to deal with (at this point Allstate was no longer paying for a rental and we had to purchase a new car), I was reluctant to risk spending more time and money trying to fight Allstate for what I knew was the fair value of our car. After speaking with local appraiser who "guaranteed" me he could get me whatever I wanted from the insurance company but refused to answer questions, explain the process or provide referrals, I was distraught (it is SO hard to find classic car appraisers!). I stumbled across Auto Appraise and decided to call them even though they weren't local. Initially I spoke with Autumn Duehring. She was unbelievably helpful and friendly and spent over an hour talking to me about my car, my situation and my options. An amazing outcome considering I faced losing over $3500 had I not found Autumn. Jason, the owner, who appraised my car is also incredibly friendly and helpful. His resume and experience is astonishing. Our car is rare and hard to place value on (especially considering the low mileage and near factory condition) but Jason and his team went above and beyond and provided an incredibly well researched and comprehensive appraisal along with nearly 60 pictures of the vehicle. No words can describe how happy and appreciative I am of Autumn and everyone at Auto Appraise. It's rare these days that you find people, let alone a company, who are who they say they are and do what they say they are going to do. If you are looking for a team you can trust, regardless of your reason for needing an appraisal, these are the only guys you need. Thank you again Autumn. Jason and his office staff of Autumn and Debbie allowed me to purchase a vehicle with confidence after reviewing the Inpection Report, Photos (over 200), Videos and numerous telephone conversations. Upon seeing and driving the car for the first time after delivery, I was estatic with its conditon and wear a big smile every time I get behind the wheel. This is all because of Auto Appraise; I was able to make the right decision and go ahead and purchace the car. I was treated with professionalism as they went beyond the call of duty and provided assistance with transporters and even aid in writing a sales contract. After my 2005 Prius was totaled by another driver, the insurance company offered an absurdly low settlement. I countered with a more reasonble figure, but they demanded that we get appraisals. Auto Appraise was easy to work with and they were friendly, efficient and professional. The whole process went very quickly and I ended up getting much more than my original counter offer.

My car caught on fire a few months back. My insurance company deemed it a total loss and offered me LESS THAN HALF of the Kelley Blue Book value. So I was faced with the task of finding an auto appraiser to deal with these leeches. Luckily, I came across the wonderful people at Auto Appraise. Autumn went to bat for me and dealt with the ineptitude of my insurance company like no other. I received a six page report, along with the 30 photos they took. The appraised stated value was not only fair and closer to the KBB value--but it was based on actually going to look at the vehicle, assessing the condition, as well as an in depth local market analysis...all of which my insurance company failed to do in conjuring up their initial insulting settlement sum. Let's face it, insurance companies do not care about you or what trauma and tragedies you endure and pay them to tend to...they only care about the bottom line and getting you off their backs and quickly and cheaply as possible. Period.
I must admit, I was a bit weary of getting my own appraiser to deal with my insurance company. While this process did test my patience, I am ecstatic that I chose Auto Appraise to settle my case. My wife wrecked her car and although we had full coverage insurance the insurance company only offered us a little more then half what I believed the car was worth and they would not budge.
