Just moved into a new home and needed to have the locks rekeyed. Getting the appointment set up with Paul was very easy; we were able to get same day service. James was the one who came out and was very polite and professional. Very happy with our decision to go with this outfit and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Jason! After months of no results for my coop management office fixing my faulty street-level front door lock, I called American Local Locksmith. Jason asked quiet, specific questions including asking for photos, then asked if I could wait two days so he could send a problem solver. End of questions, American Local Locksmith had expert solutions. Jason, unhurried, figured out the problem, explained it, resolved it even though it wasn't easy.

I called to set up an appointment for tomorrow to fix door cylinder with American Local Locksmith I was told my call would be returned so I could get an estimate and set up appt. time.
My call was returned by Bob within 5 minutes. I sent him 3 pictures to determine the problem. Paul told me that he could tell me how to fix the problem myself and there was no need for them to come out..so in 3 minutes my lock was fixed over the phone.

American Local Locksmith is the most honest & decent Locksmith Company I have dealt with. Them work ethics are far and above what I expected. Tech was punctual and his prices were way lower than what I anticipated. On top of it all, he is a intelligent & a pleasure to talk to. My installation went quite smooth and I have had no issues with his workmanship. My lock works better than ever before.

Would absolutely recommend. Erick is a super nice guy and incredibly professional. Had to get my apartment door opened and re-keyed, and he made the experience quick and painless. Based on Company glowing reviews, I decided to call American Local Locksmith after an unfortunate incident with my foot and a doorknob (you read that correctly -- it's a long story).

Erick is the third locksmith I've dealt with here in the area --- and easily the coolest. His price estimates are far lower than the others I've seen.

So what's the catch? There wasn't. He was in and out in within 20 minutes. And in the end, he reassured me that the whole-foot-on-the-doorknob thing is more common than one would think.

I would, and have, recommend American Local Locksmith to anyone looking for a locksmith. Shon come the day after my inquiry to change our lock. He was very knowledgeable, giving us an overview on what the existing lock was like, etc. He even recommended a cheaper service that what I initially called him for after looking at our lock. Service was very quick, and he left everything clean and tidied up. Didn't rush us through or seem hurried, chatted with us throughout the entire install, even recommending a couple of great pizza spots in our neighborhood. It felt great working with someone who was friendly and didn't try to cheap us out of our money!

I've used American Local Locksmith twice now. Once to add a deadbolt to my front door and then yesterday to add a lock in a closet door. Both times he quoted me a price on the phone and stuck to it on site. No extra charges or attempts to add things. Both times there were issues with the instal (very old building) but he stuck to his quote and was quick, tidy and friendly. It seems like the city is filled with swindlers in the locksmith dept. American Local Locksmith is for sure the exception. It's not cheap but i prefer to have an honest price up front than a lowball estimate that ends up much more because it was just a ploy to show up and add charges. You feel good about spending money with American Local Locksmith, they do a great job fast and efficiently.

Edwardo was fantastic. He was courteous, skilled and professional. He confirmed our appointment ahead of time, arrived on time, did the job quickly and well. We especially liked that he emailed us a receipt immediately. Edwardo also gave us valuable advice on fixing our old broken doorknob (which wasn't included in the job). He quoted us a fair price and stuck to it. He even offered to clean up some loose paint before he left, unheard of in this city! Our previous experience with locksmiths was not so good, but Edwardo gives this business a good image. We will definitely call American Local Locksmith again for your locksmith needs.

I cannot believe this company is still in business with the horribly offensive business model they are practicing. We called yesterday to request service of unlocking a vehicle where the keys were inside and they quoted a reasonable price so we asked them to come out. Upon arrival the locksmith said it would be 8x the price quoted over the phone. When we were obviously shocked, he reported that it was normal to be surprised as this was the method his company used to get people to agree for them to come out. They purposefully quote a lesser price on the phone and then charge a horrendously more expensive price upon arrival. He said this was their normal business practice. I cannot explain the anger I have for the scam this company just committed and is apparently committing to good honest people on a regular basis. When we called the company back to ask about the price difference, they put us on hold for about 5 minutes and then they hung up on us. I would not recommend even calling.

Nobody's perfect, but the key is to acknowledge mistakes and do something to make it right. There was a mix-up in the day of my appointment for a new lock, so Danny came that evening instead of the morning and gave me 50% off. He also told me the lock mechanism itself was perfectly solid and that rather than an extra lock, I only needed a new cylinder for security. That goes to show how honest he is because it meant it was cheaper for me and less money in his pockets.

To add to all that, Danny is a super nice guy and was even great with my barky dog. In fact, when I asked if he accepted tips, he told me he donates them to Animal Haven. Awesome!

You've really got to be good to mix-up the appointment and yet still get 5 stars. American Local Locksmith is that good! Completely worth it, and I'm guessing that the mix-up was an exception to the rule. Highly, highly recommended!

Answered all questions about locksmithing (that's not even a word, but I just made it one) of which I knew nothing about and provided clear instructions and recommendations for extra added security. I called American Local Locksmith based on the reviews I read here. I emailed to the company first, but he didn't see my email, so I called. They was very nice. He apologized for not seeing the email, and they asked me to give him the information and send pictures of my locks by email. I wanted to change a lock in the apartment I have just moved into. I wasn't in a hurry, so we fixed an appointment, and on the day we had said, he came on time, was very nice, changed one of the locks for a good price and was just very professional and nice. I will definitely call him again if I have any problem or if I need a new lock.

How can you not be amazed by a company that already has a solid five stars? Thanks for making it easy to pick a locksmith!



1st Star: has 24/7 service.

2nd Star: Tech was exactly on time, 8am. And chipper as can be.

3rd Star: Professional service. Tech explained the flaws of our previous lock - but also didn't make me feel for my own [failed] installation job.

4th Star: Quick service. I hadn't even taken two sips of my coffee, and the new lock was installed.

5th Star: Cheap! By far the cheapest quote I got.



I would not hesitate a second to recommend American Local Locksmith to anyone.

Very unprofessional technician. He arrived within 20 minutes but sat in his car for another 20 minutes until I made a point to go outside to make it obvious that I was waiting. After assessing the lock, he returned to his car and sat another 10 minutes to have a cigarette. He then flicked the cigarette into our driveway. Upon closing the service call, he told me that he could not bring the paperwork back to the front door but it had to be done in his vehicle. He proceeded to take 10 more minutes to find the cc tool to run my card. The call was closed with technician sitting in his vehicle while I stood in the driveway. He never got out of the van. In addition, in inquiring about how he changed the lock, he was not honest. My son watched him do the job yet the technician was not competent enough to verbalize exactly what was done. Not helpful or professional.

Dave trekked through a snowstorm and arrived with a smile and an array of lock options. Incredibly professional and courteous. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to secure their home. Call American local Locksmith they are the best in the city.
