I have elderly individuals living in properties without an A/C unit at the moment. When filing claim with AHS, they said a professional can come out and inspect in 9 days; however, the Chicago Land area is expected to reach temperatures over 100 degrees and that's not factoring in humidity. I stated that I am seriously concerned for the health of these individuals many times, but the customer service rep didn't seem too concerned and said that the weather and my current situation does not meet their requirements for prioritizing my claim... I was on the phone for an hour and still no guarantee that a "professional" will come within the next day or two.
Also, the company I was told would send an inspector is not reachable in any way and barely has any reviews online; therefore, I am almost hesitant to even allow them in.
Previous experiences have been ok but so far today's service call is a disaster
The plumbing technition refused to replace my valve saying it wasn't leaking with out even turning the water back on
Argued with me that it wasn't leaking. I've been a home owner for over 50 years and I think I know when I have a problem
Called AHS asked to talk to a manager was put on hold for 5 minutes and then at my second request was put on hold for 15 minutes before they disconnected
Looked up the company pn YP to complain and found that they were CLOSED as in no longer in business Big Surprise.
Worst company ever definitely shady and some would say fraudulent!
they send out companies with very low ratings that put bandages on broken systems and find the most ridiculous reason not to replace something in need of replacement.
In my case my condenser needed to be replaced. they would not pay it due to the fact that a dog peed on it.

by the way I have FIRED them.
They Sent one company to a fix leak in dishwasher. Still leaked so they sent a different company. I had to pay for two separate service calls.
Cancelling my service now. They are going to charge me a $34 administration fee to cancel. What a rip off.
I would never do business with this company again.
To anyone considering an insurance policy with AHS please think again. This company has been an absolute nightmare to work with. My husband and I went with this company for insurance on our appliances at a property we were renting out and authorized automatic monthly payments to AHS. Huge mistake. First off, this company hires the worst contractors. When the AC broke they set us up with a contractor who never showed up all the appointments we made and had to reschedule. So they sent out another contractor who was very rude and unprofessional and ultimately denied us coverage stating the AC was “damaged due to the hurricane”. We had to find our own contractor and pay out of pocket. Thanks AHS for being totally useless. Since then (September 2017), we’ve been trying to cancel our insurance with AHS but it is nearly impossible to reach a human being there or cancel online. We finally reached someone by phone to cancel our policy but low and behold the next month’s credit card statement comes in and there’s another withdrawal from AHS. What exactly does it take to cancel this service???? Do I need to send a certified letter? Cancel my credit card? File a lawsuit?? They completely ignore our call and continue to take out payments that are unauthorized. Am I in the Twilight Zone? We don’t even own the property anymore. Please reconsider going with this company and check out a more professional company instead. This has been a terrible experience.
