The level of incompetence within the Advance Auto Parts organization is unfathomable. First, they don’t even inspect the parts to ensure they aren’t defective before they ship them to customers. Then when the customer receives the defective part there is an expectation that the customer is to pay for return shipping. After explaining that such an expectation is not only unreasonable but blatantly dishonest they finally concede to sent a prepaid return label. They send you a return label with a corrupted file that can’t be printed attributing the problem to a computer issue with the customer. When they finally realize that the prepaid return label is actually a corrupted file then they agree to have a UPS truck pick up the return. I will stop here because the incompetence continues on to infinitum. If you have nothing but time to deal with these dullards be my guest but I will no longer be doing business with these incompetence idiots.
if you have had a bad experience with advanced in Clarksville Tennessee come to my store at 1250 ft. Campbell blvd. we know our parts, prices and our vehicles, but keep in mind the parts we sell you are only as accurate as the information we are given, vehicle year, make, and model, and engine, also keep in mind if you have a vehicle and your not sure if its a mid year ( meaning made at the end of the second quarter of the year) your engine and parts may vary, so if your not sure don't be afraid to ask at my store we will do our best to help you out and keep our customers satisfied!!! we also do free battery testing, installation, free check engine diagnostics on 96 and newer vehicles (OBD2)
we will change you light bulbs and top off your fluids if you purchase them, and i apologies on behalf of workers at other stores and just bad experiences you have had.
went to halls tennessee location. the negative was two salesmen (one that looked to be in 40's brown hair and one in early 30's with light brwn hair) stood talking and didnt acknowledge i was waiting. a salesman who was already waiting on someone told me he would be with me in a minute. the other two salesmen stopped talking and just when i thought they would help me one went outside and the other pulled out his phone like to check text then went to back. the other salesman finsihed with the man in about 3-4 min and helped me. by this time i was a little aggravated but this salesman (his name on shirt said rob/robert/robbie?) had me laughing and he called me honey which normally i wouldnt have noticed but it was nice considering my encounter with the other two jerks. all i end up needing was a battery which he also talked me into getting the best one with the good warranty. i would have given advance 1 star based on my initial experience but it ended in such a positive manner that your salesman rob/robert/robbie? deserves 5 star if only ALL of your salesmen could be 5 star.
Stopped by US 36 and Country Club Rd., They had a tester for Keyless entry remote controls, I asked the man where I could find the tester, he said, "go up front" yep, it was up front alright, my unit worked, so it had power, the sign said "we can help with making it work in your vehicle" I ask if he could assist me, he sharply replied, TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER" I got on-line and found out the 3 easy steps to make the device open and close the locks on my doors.. you would think of the old cliche', If you think training is expensive, try ignorance"
CAN YOU SAY IDIOTS! I TRAVEL A LOT AND DONT HAVE TIME TO BE DOWN. SO WHEN I NEED A PART, I NEED IT. I USUALLY LOOK THE PART UP MYSELF ONLINE AND CALL WITH THE PART NUMBER UNTIL I REALIZED THAT IT TAKES A COMPLETE GENIUS TO TYPE THAT PART NUMBER IN AND TELL ME IF THEY HAVE IT. I SUGGEST GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE, I DONT BELIEVE THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS RATING TAKLED TO THE SAME STORE AT ALL!
than Auto Zone. The location I go to is on Little Road off of Ridge Road in Port Richey. The inventory is always stocked and special orders generate within 48 hours. The prices are no where near Autozone which is about 90% more than than Advanced. Advanced is teh way to go for all your automotive needs, With its knowledgable staff and wonderful customer service you could not ask for more.
I've had several good experiences and several bad experiences with this business. The first time I went to the Zellwood location, I needed a standard oil filter. The manager said he didn't have one and said "sorry, good luck". I knew they had to have this part so I waited several days and went back and what do you know? Another "manager" pulled out a book and found the part in about 2 minutes. I suggest that the managers attend training classes to improve customer service.
