set up an appointment almost a week ago from 8-12. I said it'd be 1230, then 100, then 130. we were sitting here waiting wasting our time you cant hit a 4 hour window???? then when I called in to complain I got attitude from the rep WTF????cancelled the appointment. look for a local company this company sucks.
Technician was extremely friendly and seemed sympathetic, but now I have to replace my windshield. A spot size of qrt still very noticeable and it cracked and a ding very tiny pinhead size is now cracked about 2.5-3". Not happy was hoping to save money by having it repaired. Before and after pics. I will give them props as they didn't even ask me to pay. I would've went crazy had they. Extremely disappointed. Was gonna use them to replace the windshield but when they wouldn't eat part of the cost. I'll just go somewhere local.
Granted, they are the best at replacing auto glass. But asking your low-paid employees to start a food bank for other low-paid employees? I'm sure this company gets a whopping share of tax breaks for its low-paying jobs. Incredible that you can work here and not be able to feed your family.
I was looking for a chip repair place and saw this local Safelite place. I used them years ago and told them I wanted to pay it out of pocket - no insurance. They repaired and I paid it. Few weeks later my ins. called and asked if I had filed this claim, to which I said NO. They were trying to hit my ins. co. for double payment after I'd already paid. Never again will I use this local Safelite guy.
Everything from start to finish was excellent. Customer service is great, easy to work with, and accommodating. Richie was the tech that arrived to repair my windshield. He there exactly when he said he would be and did a fantastic job. Very professional and courteous. I will definitely be calling for future repairs.
Putting in a glass is one thing for a review , but how about honoring their warranty ? The warranty is nothing but an Advertising Scam. There is no warranty My dealings with the employee is so belittling, automatically came out and said so you are the guy trying to make a claim after 2 years. in seconds looked at it and already had the mindset of trying to deny warranty. These cracks as all window people know can come from any imperfection in the edge and do the same as happened to me. I even tried to talk to the chat on nationwide website and they called it " New Damage" which is any defect that cause a crack. And "new Damage " is not covered under warranty. Well what do you think imperfections can cause.... a crack ! They claim they have a lifetime warranty against defect in material. But when this defect cause a crack. they decline to honor it. Well what is covered then? absolutely nothing. their warranty is an advertising scam just to get suckers to buy with them.
I had them repair a bevel in my glass. When he tapped his tool, it split and I knew it was going to be a problem. After turning on my defrost in this cold, it just split almost the entire length of my windshield. They said that they have to "open up" a chip to determine the damage. They sure did!
I called on Monday and they took my insurance info and said they would be out that afternoon. It was a no show. They changed it to Tuesday morning and again it was a no show. My husband called and "Jamie" said we had to call again. We refused to call again to start the process all over again. I get an email that they would be there on Wednesday afternoon. It was another NO SHOW. I would give this company a BIG ZERO. My auto dealer recommended this company. NEVER AGAIN. We are looking for someone local now.
Safelite was recommended to me by my insurance company, however, I was a bit disappointed. When they replaced my window, they broke the auto-open/close mechanism. I was told it was something they couldn't reset and that I'd have to go to the dealer and they would reset it free of charge. When I got to Lexus they told me that Safelite broke it and it would cost
$150. Now Safelite won't return my calls.
If I could give this company zero stars I would the person who showed up took my windshield out then said there was some service rust which I couldn’t see and couldn’t put another one in without body repair. The old window had a small crack no signs of leaking . This left me stranded; do not use this company ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could have left a negative star I would have. Worse company to deal with by far. Scratched my hood all up today while attempting to repair just a small chip in the glass.now I have to find someone to repair the scratches. DO NOT get the mobile service. All their mobile service guys are shady
Very sorry I chose safelite. Did a terrible job. Windshield leaking after just one month. Windshield wipers also not making good contact. When I made anothet appointment there were 2 missed appointments with the tech telling his supervisor that there was no longer a problem. So supervisor closed the workorder. BEWARE!!!!
Do not hire this company! 6 months after they replaced my windshield I had to replace it again and I received a quote from another place that was 70% less expensive.. Not only did they overcharge my insurance company, they incorrectly replaced a plastic corner molding on my car that would dangle in the air after a certain speed, they forgot to replace my registration sticker, and I suspect, gave me a substandard or incorrect windshield because it cracked and ran easily after a tiny pebble struck it. The wait was long (in Brownsville, tx ) and they could not come out to my home due to scheduling.
If I could do zero stars I would. By far the worst service I have ever experienced! The time it took was not an issue because I know cold weather and glass replacement doesn't go together but they came to my house 3 times. once with the wrong windshield, another with a broken windshield and then the 3rd time with finally a windshield that they could use and removed all my seals and saw one small little bubble of rust on the roof line of my Jeep and said that the only way they could do my windshield was if I took it to a body shop and had it fixed.. I live in Ohio and there isn't a car on the road that doesn't have a rust bubble or two and the rust spot my Jeep has isn't even where the windshield is glued in. But this tech made it out like my 2006 vehicle was completely destroyed and they in no way he could do the work. Now I'm stuck waiting for another company to order a new windshield and do the work this guy was not willing to do. To me it was just one more excuse from a guy who didn't actually wanna do the work.
