i met mrs.ross who is a sweetheart.... the shop is a quaint little place and the arrows that was being sold was of great quality. Harry, a self confessed recluse, came down after sometime... he was a delight... extremely knowledgeable , very funny and utterly cantankerous... i had a lovely time... it was great meeting a living legend...he started that place in 1965... and his wife , who is the most adorable lady i had met in US, is great story teller... i would love to meet up with them the next time i visit US.... loved it... great value...

I needed help assembling a crossbow that I had just bought over the internet. Mr Ross was very

helpful, skilled and he did the whole job for only $5. I had another older crossbow that didn't work at all. Nobody else would help me with it. Harry fixed it for me in one day. The only thing I'd say is that he is not always available. So, call him and make an appointment before you go there.

We were able to purchase excellent gear at a low cost because the shop was in the basement as a hobby and not a business for large profit. Gear for three beginners could be expensive at other archery shops.

Was in town for the SoCal Showdown, shot at the public archery range in some park in San Diego but needed to buy a target. Was told the nearest shop was 40 minutes away but found this place on google, it's in the sketchy basement of an elderly couple, with a big sign out front.

Didn't mind that the store was...

Didn't mind that the store was located in the basement of an elderly man's house and felt very shady. What I did mind was the fact that the owner of this business wasn't helpful when I asked questions about archery and bows for beginners.

He just wanted me to buy something rather than answer any of my questions. He was just annoyed.
