        We have renamed IVG MetroWest. Our new name is Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty. Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty provides 24 hour emergency and specialty veterinary care to dogs and cats. Appointments for veterinary specialty services are available Monday through Friday. The Veterinary Emergency hospital is staffed and open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. We understand that your pet is a part of your family and we strive to treat you and your pet with the utmost empathy and respect for your relationship and bond. Hospitals within the Ethos Veterinary Health network in Massachusetts include: Bulger Veterinary Hospital in North Andover, MA; Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty, in Natick, MA; and Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA.

        BEWARE. The company of IVG seems to be more concerned with their image as a "top" veterinary hospital than it does with the quality of their technicians. Just be aware that if you bring your pet to IVG MetroWest, their primary caretaker will most likely not be a CVT (a certification designating proficiency and professionalism in veterinary nursing), but someone with little to no training or education. Why is this important? While the vets may be the ones communicating with you and diagnosing your pet, the technicians are the ones actually treating your animal. There have been deaths during surgery here because of their technicians. IVG WON"T tell you any of this. They are saving money by hiring non- certified people to act as technicians instead of the real thing. Sound like a hospital that cares about your pet? Think again. Avoid this hospital like the plague if you care about your pet.
