Went to Lonnie Young shoes due to convenient location versus traveling farther to another children's shoe store we had previously visited. We knew what we were looking for- first walkers for our 11 month old. We were surprised how the salesperson spoke about a Stride Rite shoe that is currently offered at Stride and other stores- saying the model was outdated. After a quick measurement, the salesperson brought out 5 boxes of shoes, the SALES PITCH was on! She said one can always needs a 2nd pair of walkers and a girl needs to be fashionable- showing us other designs of boots and shoes! When we said no thank you, the salesperson tried to sell us shoe polish, then said you need some lace socks to go with those shoes! SALE SALE SALE! The salesperson jumped up and ran to the check out, not asking if we had any question or concerns or if we were happy with the shoes, it seemed she was in a hurry to rush us along! We paid and stepped out of the store- feeling as if we had been treated like cattle! Get them in, hit them with whatever you can sell, get them out quickly! Maybe the children's shoe that was 10 miles farther would have a better experience!
My family and I were at the Nashville TN Burlington today. We are not from the Nashville area and were excited to find a Burlington store. We shopped for about an hour and found several items we planned on purchasing. About 3 of us with over $150 worth of merchandise. We got to the checkout were there was only one cashier at the registers. We were next in line with probably 3 other groups of people behind us. We stood in line for 10 minutes easily while the cashier chatted with the people checking out. Not a word was said about how long we waited. When it finally came time for us to check out my mom (who is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet and talks to the cashier at every store she shops at) steps up and starts to unload her cart. The cashier immediately tells her very rudely.."In the future to need to stand back there and wait your turn because you were right up on these people and they needed their privacy" and continues to go on and on right in front of everyone. There were no lines on the floor saying where to stop and wait..and hello..have you ever checked out at Wal-Mart?? Everyone stands right behind you while you check out. My mom didn't even realize what the lady was talking about and tried to explain we were just waiting. The cashier kept getting louder and over talking her. We decided we were not about to deal with her disrespect for CUSTOMERS any more and placed all our items on the counter and said forget it. My mom said she wanted to speak with the manager and asked for the cashiers name. She said it was Kim and then started talking in her mic around her neck to the manager and said "I have ANOTHER customer up here complaining because I told them they needed to stand back..." and went on and on explaining herself. We stood for a couple minutes waiting on the manager but decided we would just call and make a complaint and take our experience to social media. This is totally uncalled for. 3 star rating on FB and Google speaks for itself.
This is a small shoe store with a good selection of extra wide and specialty shoes. The salesperson was very helpful in discussing options with me. Most shoes are over $200.
Despite the convincing TV commercials, the Good Feet Store was not that helpful as we were purchasing shoes for someone with balance issues. They focus on the orthotic insert, but were unable to help us find velcro strap shoes to go with them.
We visited Jensen Shoes when we needed to find an extra wide size for a person with balance issues. After a lengthy consultation, the pedorthist there was able to special order the shoe with velcro straps from a catalog and created a custom insert which helped even the difference in leg length. The "after" walk was amazing and worth every penny! A balanced shoe is a lot cheaper than hip surgery caused by a fall!
These guys are the best shoe-repair in town. Nothing they can't fix. They've even worked on my wife's leather purse.
A good selection of the typical Banana Republic clothes and accessories. Bought a bunch of sweaters here on sale to prepare for winter - great!
Located right outside Green Hills Mall, this location has a great selection, including sale shoes! The coupons in the local CitySaver book make it an even better deal.
They have a lot of holiday merchandise in now. Home decor and Christmas gifts. I enjoy browsing the whole store. Great purses and shoe selection.
