In June we purchased a 2005 Keystone Challenger 34TBS. We love the unit but have had a list of problems. First the slides leaked, and the floors squeaked. So,we took it to our dealership and was that ever a mistake. They fixed nothing but it was damaged on their lot. An employee hit it with a tow motor, which damaged the nose, the doors were hanging off the tracks, and the hydraulic door openers were sheared off. We were told the employee had gotten a divorce that day and was upset. We paid for that. We took off to Naples, Fl and were in a KOA when the power converter gave out. It was 95 degrees and we slept without air. We took it to Ft. Myers to a shop but had to pay to sleep at a motel (six of us). Our next stop was the Keys and we found our monitor panel no longer worked. But we got thru that. When we got home a wonderful gentleman at Cullum & Maxey listened to our problem and he took our unit and worked on it for 3 weeks. He fixed the slides which were dragging. He fixed the seals in the slide outs, replacing them. He got us a new control panel. It took 3 hours to rewire it as it was shorted out. He pulled our cabinets from the floor as the screws had split the framing, which was done in the factory. The linoleum was cut to short in the factory and pulled loose from the wall, they replaced that. And to fix the nose from the tow motor hit they replaced the front cap molding and said that the metal was even broken. The dealer I bought the unit from sold it to us at a fair price, but the service department was unprofessional and down right disrespectful of our unit and the amount of money we gave for it. I have to pay for this unit for 15 years and the first few months I have wondered what I got myself into. When you take the cap off the sewer system it fly's out without you even opening the valves. Its comfortable when it works right but you can see we have been through a nightmare with all these problems. I am thankful that a dealership that doesn't even sell Challengers was kind enough to take our unit and do all the warranty work it needed. Thank you Cullum & Maxey of Nashville, TN for your wonderful service department, we will be forever grateful
Steven did a custom window installation on my Quigley conversion van. He installed 48"x15" camper van windows into a 2011 Ford E-Series cargo van. h…
Ray, Thank you again for spending time with us inspecting the Rialta motor home we ended up buying. Your insights were very helpful to us and we are grateful to you. It took two days to drive the 850 miles home. On the second day we hit a very bad ice storm. We saw 50 plus cars and 6 semis in the ditch! For a while we literally crawled along the interstate, but with God's grace made it safety home. Thank You Again, Fred and Jody
We came here for a travel trailer so we did not do a test drive. We came back when we were ready to purchase because our salesman was very courteous and honest with my wife and me. He was not looking to make a quick buck off us he did not want to just sell us anything he made sure my truck could pull it and he wanted to make sure that we would enjoy it too. We had a good experience here and had a very good salesmen.
Great service from Bud on getting an issue corrected on my new Miramar RV. I was visiting Nashvile and I purchase a new RV. While I live in NC, he contacted Thor, spoke to Stephanie and she reach our to her service tech Dean. They were both great and I want to thank Larry in sales at the dealer also for getting this issue resolved. Cullum & Maxey were outstanding and need to be recognized for their service.
We were very impressed with the purchase process, and with the folks who stayed late to finalize the sale when we picked it up after close. Our salesman was professional and easy going, and the sale was hassle free. We'll be recommending them to our family and friends in the Ft. Campbell/Clarksville area. We just had our first adventure in the camper over the holiday weekend and we love it!
It is no wonder these guys were rated the best! They were exceptional in every way when I was purchasing my first camper. Steve S. was my sales person and he explained every feature and was very courteous. It is my misfortune that I do not know anyone interested in buying a new or used vehicle at this time. If I did I would surely say, “Go visit Cullum and Maxey and look for Steve!”
Exceptionally nice staff. Not once did I feel pressured to buy, and they answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I appreciate that they didn't mind that I visited them several times before I made my purchase and they treated me very well every time I went. I am a first time owner so I'm sure I'll be back many more times!
When I am back in the market for an RV , I will go back to Cullum & Maxey first. Hope Ray is still there then. Repair shop is equally professional and respectful of the customers and their RV's. If you need it fixed, this is the place to go. They do it well, they treat you well, they respect you and your RV as well.
Scott worked with my husband and me, showing us how everything works inside and outside the camper. He was very patient as we asked many questions and he was very capable with giving us answers to our questions. I just wanted to say how helpful he was and how professional he was.
I have been thoroughly pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the Cullum and Maxey team. I look forward to continuing that relationship. I sold my 2003 Winnebago Rialto for a new View Winnebago. I love it. Very satisfied with all aspects of the process.
