This place is amazing!!! Very quaint with remarkable waiters (we had 3 or 4) and food as if we were in Italy. We had the "tableside" Caesar salad which was awesome. Veal Parm and my wife had Seafood Fettucine. Banana Foster also made tableside. Our waiter described everything to a tee and made a great wine choice for us. The manager checked on us which was a nice touch and wished my wife a Happy Birthday and congrats on her new job (which obviously the waiter told him). The Chef was even walking throughout the restaurant. Def will be back!! Recommend to all.

Very disappointed in the quality of the food served compared to the price paid. The shrimp were rubbery, the scallops were pretty close to rancid and were left on the plate by all, and the bananas foster would have been good if the guy would have left off the orange zest or whatever the ""personal touch"" was that he added without my sign-off. Honestly, banana's foster needs no help if you just do it by the book. I probably won't be back unless it's free. When you pay that much for a meal and get below average taste, you cannot afford another $300 screw-up. Maybe it was just a bad night, but it was costly for them if so. Not impressed with their take on Italian cuisine.

This is an authentic Italian restaurant. If your idea of good Italian food is Fazolis or Olive Garden, this is not your place. The food, service, and atmosphere have always been excellent. Andre, our favorite waiter, goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. The chefs will even come out to meet you and make sure you are enjoying everything. The nightly specials are always great. One of our favorites is the lamb shank. Yum! Highly recommended.

Absolutly spectacular service, selection, food. We were personally met by the owner, served by two waiters, and had all of our needs met.
I am only 23 years old and brought in a younger date, and came in expecting to be met with distaste at such a fine establish. The opposite was the case.
They treated us like family, served full glasses of perfectly selected wine, and helped me chose the perfect veal dish i was looking for.
If you want a romantic evening with the best food, wine, and service in Nashville, this is the place for you. I could not say enough good things about it.

I got a gift certificate to go here for my birthday through work. Unfortunately I have to say my experience was not a good one. First thing that happened when we sat down, the waiter said: ""You only want water right"", grabbing our wine glasses away from us. Which I thought was very pretentious! We were dressed very appropriate and were not slobs in any way. I surely did not appreciate the rude comment either.
There was absolutely NO music there at all. It made me feel very uncomfortable while waiting on my dinner. Also when we were waiting at our table this overwhelming smell of MOLD kept lingering in the air!!!
I felt the food was WAY overpriced for the quality. I had ordered a seafood platter which was excellent and very tasty, but left me feeling hungry when I left. My boyfriend had ordered the veil which was a shockingly huge portion (filled the plate) but it tasted like cardboard.
When we ordered our two dished, priced well over $30 each, our waiter asked us: ""would you like soup or salad with that"", we both agreed to the house salad. When we got the bill at the end of the night we were charged almost $20 extra for the two salads we supposedly ordered. Granted the salad was really good, but come on, $10 for a house salad that didn't even fill a small salad plate? Also I felt the waiter tricked us into ordering the salads, when he made it sound like it came with our order...
Needless to say we didn't order desert. We ended up going to The Cheesecake Factory, which was much more personal, and professional there, and the waiter made my night!
Overall, I HATED the service there. My boyfriend and I will NOT go back there, AND I am telling everyone at my work place to beware when they use their certificates!

This place has great potential if the customer service were better. The food was great. The setting of this place and the decor is amazing! I could not believe the staff was so rude. I have heard great things about this place, but employees ruined what I thought would be a great experience. Repeatedly had to ask for drink refills.Prices like that you would think they would be friendly:( Maybe I caught them on a bad day?!?!

We had a good time at Valentinos Ristorante for my sisters birthday. We dined in the upstairs lounge area which was beautifully decorated. The upstairs lounge didn't exist last time there and is a very nice section of the restaurant. The ambiance was warm and inviting... I love the brick. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Our food came in large portions, was seasoned well and fresh tasting. No complaints and we'll be back. Next time we won't wait for a special occasion.

I took my wife here for a special occasion dinner. We have had better Italian food from a Stauffer's Frozen Dinner box and Pepperidge Farms used to have a better Terra Masu than was proudly placed in front of us for desert. Lastly Valentino's was so proud of this experiment; our investment in this lesson was a mere $167.94. They served us the food, here is my perspective... A Very, Very Sad Meal :( !!!

Decor: Not as handsome as the pictures online.
Service: Good but you occasionally have to ask for it. One of my guests was not happy with his order and the dish was deducted from our bill. +
Wait staff: Pleasant, enjoyable.
Wine list: Good.
Menu: Expensive, overpriced.
Serving size: Very good; appetizer (calamari, enough for 3 or 4; price: good).
Notes: As a former restaurant owner, I don't think I would ever try to charge a customer $25-35 for a large plate of pasta with a few pieces of seafood. I thought that this had to be homemade pasta and seafood flown in from Maine. I asked and the answer was, ""No."" I am not certain why someone would charge $25-35 for pasta with seafood. I was there with three friends and we all ordered the pasta. We all agreed: the pasta with the seafood: VERY salty. Stuffed shrimp: Big but dry.
Other: The bread that came out...Honest to God, looked like it had been touched by at least three other people, came off someone else's plate, and looked reheated. I didn't even want to touch it. The wine was our first impression (fortunately it was good, unfortunately we stuck around). The menu looks impressive but the food is really quite average. If you don't cook for yourself, this is probably good food. If you're from New York (our table was), and have travelled to Italy (our table had), this is not unique.
Overall impression: I MIGHT return to hang out at the bar (which, I should note, the noise level from the bar goes right into the dining area quite a bit). Definitely NOT a family restaurant. Some roudy drinkers at the bar may stop by your table. That was fun (not really).

Its not the same Valentino's. Food prices have gone up and value down. I had a very bland stuffed shrimp and INSTANT mashed potatoes for $25 and my wife had a piece of bland salmon and a carrot stick for $26. Service was excellent but I had better fish bought from Walmart and cooked in a microwave. Total bill $83 better meal and less money at Captain D's!
