My favorite place for salmon. My husband and I had lunch with some friends. It was our friends wedding anniversary, the chef presented them with a card, wishing them Happy Anniversary and he and the servers signed it. The server was very helpful assisting my friend choose a meal. She enjoyed choice very much.
Delicious steaks and food. Their atmosphere was elegant and calm. The service was very friendly and their food was very tasty.
Went to this one 2 times. Not as good as it could be. Steak was undercooked. Took a long time to redo steak.
This is my favorite steak place. Only go here for special occasions since it's so pricey. They didn't cook my steak correctly once and they took it off the bill and also gave us free dessert.

There has been a HUGE improvement over the past months at both Stoney River locations. The menu has changed with some fabulous improvements, the staff is friendlier and more attentive and the wine list is just an incredible improvement. There is a noticeable upward trend going on in these restaurants which sets them apart from their competitors. This is a great choice for the money. Steaks are cooked perfectly, seafood additions are delicous and the expansion of the wines are a great idea. Go Stoney River!

When I want a quality filet cooked med rare this is my ""GO TO"". The meat is always cooked to perfection. The Shrimp cocktail is yummy too. Not to mention the bread is A MA ZING! I prefer to sit in a booth away from the bar area. The bar area and main dining area can get a little loud sometimes. But that is prob due to the fact that everyone is having a good time! It reminds me of a upscale lodge. Very Cozy. Call ahead for reservations b/c I am not alone in my thoughts about this place.

Where do I start?
When a friend and I first arrived at the restaurant, the valet parked are car and we proceeded to go inside to get a table. They had just opened for the night so when we asked for a table, the hostess said that there weren't any tables ready and also that they weren't open. She asked us, ""Would we like to wait?"". We weren't in a rush so we did.
When they were finally ready, the hostess brought us to our table but to our surprise, there were already about 3 tables seated and noone had come in after us. Every table in the dining room had silverware and were placed. The hostess was very belittling.
Next, we order our steak and my friend ordered his medium rare. While we were waiting for our steaks to come out, the manager then tells my friend that they are unable to get the steak to a temperature of medium rare and that they would only be able to get it at medium. Could someone explain to me how you can only get a steak to medium which is past medium rare if it's raw meat?
Noone ever thanked us for coming even after they knew it was our first time here. As my friend and I left, the hostess was talking to her co-worker. She looked up at us, I smiled, she looked away and that was that. I felt unwanted as a guest except you know, when they asked for my 100 dollars for a horrible meal.
I later talked to the management about it the next day. However, there's no use in complaining to them because they will do nothing about it and they don't seem too concerned about it.
I would rather go to Logans than this place. The food is average. At least give me amazing service and horrible food or vice versa but horrible service and horrible food and a no no.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!
I love a good steak. I love it medium rare, and I love it without sauces or excessive spices. In addition to a good steak, I love great service. I am not Donald Trump. If I spend 50 dollars on a meal, I expect it to be above average. I expect the food to be great, and I expect the service to be trouble free.
Stoney River struck out on all counts. The restaurant was virtually empty, but my partner and I were completely ignored. Perhaps it was because we weren't wearing a cardigan over shirts with expensive chinos, or perhaps it because we weren't white enough, but our waiter came by exactly three times. At the few other tables that were occupied, I saw waiters and bus boys and even the manager making the rounds, making sure everything was OK. Not a word was said in our direction.
If the food had been half decent, perhaps I could have forgiven the bad service. Sadly, this was not so. The ribeye I ordered was severely overcooked. Medium rare means cool pink in the center, not warm gray. Dry aging does not help if the steak is overcooked into something resembling shoe leather. The potatoes were inedible. My wine glass went empty almost immediately after I cut into my steak, but nobody came by to offer me more, nor to check and see if our steaks are fine. I shan't be back. When our check came, we asked to see the manager, but nobody came by after 10 minutes and so we left. Never to return.
I just thought I'd let everyone know that if you're looking for a high end steak experience, avoid Stoney River at all costs. They charge premium prices, but their meat isn't very good, and they managed to overcook my prime rib and my friend's sirloin, both of which were ordered medium rare. Medium rare is not gray and dry inside. I can excuse that at Logan's or Sizzler, but not at a place charging 40 for a steak. Their ""rolls"" are more like donut holes, complete with honey cinnamon butter. Not something you'd really want with a savory steak. Their corn chowder was rather anemic, and their potatoes are absolutely WRETCHED. We both took one bite of the caramelized onion potatoes and spat it back up. It was so sweet it made the both of us gag. I know what caramelized onions taste like; rich and sweet, but not Snicker's bar sweet. Not Snicker's bars mashed with what could have been boxed potato flakes, they were that smooth and runny.
We tried to flag down some of the wait staff, but were rebuffed by silence. They all acted like they were too busy to help us, and our waitress was absent most of the night. She took our order, gave us our food, and then disappeared. My beer glass ran empty after a couple of bites of dry beef, and I couldn't even get somebody to get me a refill. It was a Friday night, but the place was only half full. Despite being half full, we were seated right next to the service entrance to the kitchen and bar, and so in addition to bad food, we were treated with an endless stream of people ignoring us and people dropping drinks (happened twice) in front of our table. Wonderful ambiance. I wrote the manager about my experience, and he was very apologetic. He offered to send me a certificate 4 weeks ago, but of course it never came.
So don't go there. Ruth's Chris, Morton's, the Palm....all head and shoulders above this crapfest.
