We have eaten here many times and love it, especially the smoked chicken. The food is always delicious, servers always friendly (even when someone I was dining with once was a bit of a grump), and wait times go by quickly. Highly recommend!
Love the cheese biscuits at Jim and Nick's. Good variety of barbecue and the fixings. Stop in, they will treat you right.
Delicious food and fast, friendly service! Wait times usually are not very bad either. Good variety of options on the menu.
My family and I love Jim N Nicks. The food is delicious. We love the cheese rolls. We have never had a bad experience with the service. I love that they have a drive thru and a reasonable priced family dinner. Love looking at all the pictures that represent Nashville around the restaurant.
Jim 'N Nicks is quality barbecue for a chain restaurant. While the food doesn't compare to local options, this is a solid choice where the wait won't be nearly as long.
The food is good for the price, and the drive through is convenient. One time my burger was raw though, so I called the manager, and he took the charge off and sent me a $30 gift card (since I brought it back to the restaurant as proof).
Got the white chicken BBQ with the white sauce...yum. We have used them for take-out for big family events. Great food for a reasonable price.
I LOVE this Jim 'N Nick's! The food and service are both AMAZING! Very fast service and pleasant atmosphere. Two thumbs up!
Absolutely delicious !!!!! One of my favorite places to go and eat with my family there baby rib dish is amazing and there service is great .
Okay, so not my favorite spot for barbecue in Nashville, but their grilled chicken is AMAZING. Their fried green tomatoes and mac & cheese are their best sides. And don't even get me started on their cheese biscuits. So. Damn. Good.
Great barbecue and salads and dressings...and the cheese muffins are wonderful as well. The sides are good southern cooking (mac n cheese) and the banana pudding is worth the calories!
Ohhhhh...love me some ribs! It is a bit pricey, but the food is good. The wait staff has been fabulous every time we go.

This place needs to be put on blast. Ive kept my mouth shut for almost a year, but it's time the city of Nashville knows what's up with this place.
BAD bad management. The gen manager is either clueless to what's going on in his restaurant, or in on it which is even sicker.
Basically, the assistant manager that works there, a brown haired girl named Marty, was sleeping with one of the servers, who was much younger than her, and playing favorites with him. She would meet him and certain other employees at the bar after work and get drunk as you know what with members of staff, and it was just reallllllllllly gross. I mean, she tried to keep it a secret but then would meet up with everyone, so everyone knew about it but no one was ""allowed"" to say anything to the other two managers.
She was a nasty person too. Horrible personality, and treated her staff like crap, if they were girls that were more attractive then her (which was basically almost all of them haha). She accused me of giving her boyfriend the eye one time, and then treated me badly until I put my two weeks notice in. News flash Marty, no one wants your boyfriend! He's GROSS.
I just wasn't aware that managers were allowed to sleep with the people they are paying, Im pretty sure that's ILLEGAL, not to mention so gross. Just bad work enviroment all around, very sleazy. You all can call me bitter, or a liar, but a little investigating will prove Im not lying. EVERYONE knew about it.
But hey! The food's not bad.....

I originally posted a review in 10/09 and at that time Jim N Nick's was everything I said; however that has changed. The last three times we have eaten at this location have been a disappointment. The ribs have been either dry or fatty. The service is spotty and you never know what it will be. The last time the hostess barely acknowledged us, our drinks went unfilled, we received only one basket of muffins with no offer of refill and the server acted as though he was doing us a favor by waiting on us.
It is a shame for they had something great going.

if you think barry bonds biceps were big, you should go in and order a slab of baby back ribs from jim n nicks. eric finney is to ribs like a duck is to water. if you order a slab of baby back ribs you better bring barry bonds biceps to pick them up with. they are so big, you would think they are on steriods. one of the cleanest restaurants, family oriented, all around good people. get you a basket of those cheese biscuits with some honey butter and they will pump up your washboard stomach. in today's economics dinner for 2 about $20, great service, good food and a great atmosphere. what more could you ask for a night out for you and your wife and family. A+ service.

I'm not the biggest fan of eat out BBQ. I always figured if it wasn't cooked on a grill in my backyard, it wasn't worth eating. I was wrong. Jim N Nicks smokes all of the meat selections to perfection. The ribs are pink on the inside and fall of the bone. The pulled pork and turkey are juicy. The pecan pie is heavenly. But I really go for the cheesy corn muffins.

I have a fair amount of experience with barbecue, from Texas on north, and Jim N Nicks is pretty exceptional. They have smoking down to a fine art, their barbecue sauce is spot-on and the sides are excellent. Their hot links, spare ribs, cheese muffins and fresh-cut fries all get high marks, as does their house beer. Service was first-rate as well. It gets my highest recommendation.

The service and food were impeccable. The friendly staff was very helpful and the recommendations were right on target. The fresh sides and the mouth watering cheese rolls are wonderful compliments to the juicy , fantastic tasting ribs and the perfectly cut and cooked rib eye steak. we will definitely return with each visit to Nashville. This is a restaurant we will gladly recommend to anyone wanting fresh good food with friendly family atmosphere. The best barbecue we have found in Nashville. We are from Texas and consider ourselves connoisseurs of great food especially barbecue. This place stands the test and makes an A in our book.
