Don't waste your time!!!! I found them on the Uhaul site. I set up the move in time 10 days in advance with the owner. I tried to call them several times a couple days before the move to confirm and they did not return my calls. They never showed up to unpack my uhaul. Don't use them to help move!!!!
I'm quite surprised with the negative reviews this company has gotten. We found them through the U-Haul website when we rented our truck for the move. These guys showed up on time, got right to work, and had great attitudes. On top of that they followed us to THREE different homes to pick up items to load in the U-haul in the Franklin area that were a good 20 mins apart from one another and then followed us to Murfreesboro to unload the U-haul. We were charged their normal hourly rate for all of this, no extra charges for all the extra trips that were incurred during this move. Very pleased and have recommended them several times since.
Well I see a lot of bad reviews on here for diamond movers. They are all incorrect. Don't be fooled by these 1 star reviews. Nick and Demetrius came to my house on time and were wonderful in taking care of all my things. They wrapped everything in blankets and did everything we needed in two hours including going to the storage unit and loading that as well. All my stuff was taken care of with great care. Also Alex the owner of the company was very polite and called yesterday to confirm the time and they arrived exactly at ten and called me at 9:30 to confirm again. I would definitely use diamond movers again and will recommend them to anyone.
Horrible. Dont waste your time with these people. Found them through movinghelp.com which is another useless site. They never called us back to schedule a time for a move. Ended up having to call them the day before the move to find out whats going on. Must have called them over a dozen times over a 24 hour period. They dont pick up their phones at ALL.
Complete waste of time. Dont bother with these people.
We were initially impressed by the organization and efficiency of the crew. The leader/coordinator directed from inside the moving van, as the remainder of the crew carried boxes and furniture into the truck. Once the truck was loaded, my husband and I were surprised to see we had a lot of unused moving pads...given that we have moved numerous times, we have never had more than one or two remaining with a loaded truck. When we unloaded at our destination, we realized where the crew should have used those pads. Several pieces of furniture, including one expensive desk, was severely damaged. These were not just scratches, but the desk had actual deep tracks whittled into it. These not areas that will be repaired with a little polish. In our experience with seven different moving/loading companies, this was by the far the worst!
I, too, was fooled by some of the good reviews and Alex's communication with me early on in the process. We had booked the move, I'd rented the truck, and we'd communicated the day before the move to confirm timing and location. So I arrived at my storage unit and waited... and waited... and waited. Alex didn't answer any of my calls, return my voicemails, or call with an explaination/apology. They simply stood me up.
Luckily, another company (Hallelujah Haulers) was able to squeeze me in for a move that night. They were fantastic. They did, however, mention to me that I was the THIRD customer they had helped in the past week that had been stood up by Diamond Movers! DO NOT book with Diamond. You'll be left with a UHaul and no one to help you.
Diamond Movers are great! We have used them many times at our antique shop to move very heavy,delicate and expensive furniture and they are extremely conscientious as well as courteous. Alex has also picked up and delivered furniture for us up and down the east coast. We will continue to use Diamond Movers.
This was easily the most unprofessional, poorly run company I have ever dealt with - in any industry!
Just like the other reviews mentioned, I must have called and left messages for Alex's "personal cell phone" and business phone for weeks to confirm a move, set up a time, and ensure everything was on track. No return call was made by Alex or anyone from the company, ever! So, I was left hoping that someone would show up the day that I input through Uhaul's service...
When that day finally came, to my surprise they did show up; however, it was an hour late! I had already started to move into my rental truck on my own. No apology or explanation was given... they even tried to bill me for that hour.
As the day progressed, one of the workers on the job was the laziest person I have ever met. He made excuses as to why he couldn't do this or couldn't do that. The other worker on the job had to constantly tell him to "shut up and get to work." All this guy did was walk around with his hands in his pockets looking for the lightest box, or easiest task. At one point, he even physically threatened the other worker because he had been asked to "pick up the pace."
As I'm writing this, I realize that the list goes on and on and I could spend all day doing this. However, I'm going to leave it with this: Diamond Movers is the worst company from top to bottom I have ever dealt with.
PS. I almost forgot, my couch, desk, and leather rocking chair were all severely damaged during the move....
Alex seemed like a nice guy on the phone and he answered my questions politely and that was three weeks before our scheduled move. I read some good reviews as well, So I booked the move with him and scheduled it. He assured me that they would be able to take care of us. The move date was on JULY 5th, and I specifically asked and was clear about the move falling on the day after JULY 4th, and questioned whether or not they would be able to take care of us... and his reply was YES, we are working on the 5th and we can move your stuff for you.. Consider it scheduled..... 3 days before the move, I called to ask questions about the straps I needed to get to secure the truck contents... No answer.... called each day thereafter... no answer.... no return call after several voicemails left...
day of the move.... called... NO ANSWER..... Being an optimist, I figured they were busy and would show up at the agreed upon time on the day of the move. hmmmmmm ...... wrong..
With a 26ft Penske moving truck rented, (a month in advance) and waiting at our front door of our 2600 sq ft home... We waited... waited...and called Diamond Movers and Alex.... NO ANSWER...
After waiting for nearly 4hours, with the "no show" and no call back for 3 days prior, we had to start calling other companies to find someone else. we also Paid for a 4 day truck rental cross country move, and gave up a day because of ALEX, and his inability to use a telephone to call a customer back and inform of a delay or whatever was going on. very unprofessional. All of this could have been easily rearranged had ALEX called or returned phone calls to a customer... Again, For 3 days in advance of our move... NADA.... NO COMMUNICATION... Totally unprofessional and lacking on customer service to say the very least. TO this day, I have never received a phone call from him to apologize/explain for this obvious blunder and lack of professionalism his company exhibited in doing business. I have a sneaking suspicion that a larger job came up and they took it over ours and left us stranded.. Still.. a call could have remedied the problem.. But nothing.... is pretty pathetic..
Extremely unprofessional, unreliable, and would never use or recommend ALEX or Diamond Movers service to anyone.
PS.. This company deserves no star for a review rating.. unfortunately, that option is not available.... so no matter how bad the experience was the reviewer had with the company, the company still gets one star... lol that definitely needs to be changed....
