The Cookery is a religious eatery, odd as that may sound what it is in reality is some very good food (and catering) with some religious decor and some serious heart behind their creation and goals. Service is friendly and very laid back, the food was delicious and while I'm not into the decorations hanging around, the story on the table place card telling how The Cookery was formed and how hard they work to feed and give jobs to the homeless...that's a distinctly good system I want to support. Fast service, many extra parking spots in the back and ultimately really delicious food and totally unique and tasty baked fries. Really well priced and very welcoming.

Great food. I go here often for work lunches. Easy to park which can often be an issue in this area. It is very convienient to several downtown and Belmont 12 south area. I have used them for catering as well and was very pleased with the service and food. They have unique flavors and use local seasonal product. Their mission is also unique. I like that they are helping the homeless get back on their feet and are giving them life and work skills that can help them be successful in the work place.
Is there ever justification for waiting 20 minutes in a line for a simple drink and snack? this place stays packed and is well worth it. it is a monument in the Nashville area!
This is a piece of history. Such a great experience. If you visit Nashville, plan a trip to visit. Can see stars here too!
