If you want good hot chicken, go to Princes. After waiting in line for eons, we ordered the food. well, another 20 minutes later, we got our food.So far, the experience is neither better or worse than Prince's, where you can wait for eons to get your food.Well, the food was not that good. I got mild, and it was not hot at all, but that is not the problem...the chicken was not cooked well enough, IMHO. the meat should fall off of the bone, but instead it stuck to the bone and even had some pinkish tone as you bite further into it. Not impressed, will not be going back. Sorry!

Ironically, I chose this spot and I am not a spicy food eater. However, thank goodness I ventured out of my comfort zone because they will make it …
I have been going to Prince's since the 90s. There's been some hit and misses, but overall I come out with the best hot chicken in the South( so that means the best in the world!). The best time to go there is at night, when their skillets have warmed up enough. Although the wait time can get long, it's OK if you think about what you're getting...juicy, tasty, hot chicken. The best part may be the bread that's soaked with all the juice!
Flat out the filthiest restaurant I've ever seen. It's as dirty on the inside as it is on the outside. The woman at the counter was rude and only take cash. If you miss the sign that reads "cash only" she will point it out to you instead of just politely saying so. Food wasnt half bad but, I wouldn't want to see what the kitchen looks like given the rest of the filth I saw
This has become an iconic Nashville experience, with people standing in line outside the door a la Arnold's Cafeteria. It adjoins a GiGis cupcake shop. Pro tip: try the Hattie B's location on Charlotte and go for a Dairy Dip cone or shake for dessert next door. You'll spend less time in line and have more fun to sightsee elsewhere.
I've had a lot of hot chicken in Nashville, and Hattie B's/Boltons have been my favorite until now. I finally tried Pepperfire tonight, and it's my new favorite. I'm very picky about the quality of chicken, and it was not only delicious but the flavoring and nature of the heat was phenomenal. Highly, highly recommend!!
The BEST hot chicken in Nashville. They've got plenty of hotness levels to choose from, in case you're feeling more or less adventuresome. Their Mac and cheese is sadly unimpressive, but the potato salad makes up for it. Make sure to grab some of their banana pudding for dessert! Trust me, it's worth it.
Delicious Wings and Tenders! Multiple sauces to choose from...you can even ask for some soft serve at the end of the meal! Great atmosphere...I go a lot in the summer as there are not as many VU students to haggle for seating with...
I have had two meals from Zaxbys and been very disappointed with both of them. They say that chicken is the best. The chicken both times tasted a little "off". It had a strange taste both times. I won't give them a third chance.
Great tasting chicken! Very fast and friendly service at the Bellevue location! Zaxby's Bellevue has been a great fundraising partner for Bellevue Middle School too. I love businesses that help support their community!
Chicken tender basket is amazing. Fries are good. Ask for free ice-cream. It can be extremely busy (and it's not very spacious inside) but the food is served within ten minutes after ordering.
