After 46 years, Elder’s is moving. Our new address is 101 White Bridge Road, Nashville, TN 37209. We will have our own building with plenty of parking, finally. Like you, we have many memories and some regrets. However, the new location has many practical advantages and will be closer to most of our customers, as well as to our home. That means as we get older, we will be able to stay in business longer, because we can avoid driving in traffic. As you can imagine, we have much more than we can move, so we will start reduction on in-store sales now as we start moving. While we don’t have set percentage price reductions yet, we can already give real deals on volume purchases. Later reductions will be more, but selection will be much less. The truth is even on items we would ordinarily move rather than reduce, we do have a real incentive to cut the price and save ourselves the strain. The move should be complete by mid-summer we hope. Thanks for the memories, Randy & Anita Elder
Big store! They have a large selection of general reading books, but also carry all the college stuff (textbooks, Vanderbilt clothing and gifts, school supplies, etc). They have a cafe, too. Parking can be difficult out front, but there is a parking garage with plenty of space in the back. The store can validate your parking ticket for up to 4 hours of free parking!
Books-A-Million has a wide selection of items, and I've always been able to find something new to read. They do try to push their rewards program at the register, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you purchase a large number of books annually. For a fee, you can earn discounts each visit. Overall, a great place to find something new to read!
This is a family owned small bookstore that has the necessities for children's book collections. It is a perfect place to pop in and grab a gift for a birthday party with a wide selection of crafts and toys. When you are finished shopping, you can go across the hall to Pied Piper Creamery.
I just love this place! I stopped in the other day to buy my kiddos a book. Their selection is wonderful! They have classics and the latest books. Their toy selection is very unique. Perfect place to find a special gift for any kiddo.
Simply the most interesting book, music and art store combination you will find in Nashville. A great selection of local art and music as well as literary selecions and unusual gift items sure to appeal to the curious and creative.
I have bought and sold text books to text book brokers. We had only one mix up out of several transactions and Textbook Brokers did what any great retailer would do and took care of the customer. Thanks, Lori
I always have a good experience shopping at Books-a-Million! Employees are helpful if you have a question. Prices are a little expensive, but I think they are pretty comparable with similar booksellers.
This place has a very wide collection of books for children! My nephew really enjoyed the books I bought from here. From activity books to story books, they have everything; this place is a great find!
I love going to this Barnes and Nobles. Not only did I use it when I went to Vanderbilt to get textbooks, but it has a pretty good selection for personal books you want to get.
