My family and I were ignored upon our arrival to Ashford Furniture on 2/11/17. The sales associate looked at us and walked the other way. He had absolutely no desire to serve our family. We decided not to give this store our business and immediately left. We went to Jordan's Furniture a few blocks away and as always we were immediately greeted and assisted by the cordial and informative sales associates. Never again will we visit Ashford Furniture.
We ordered over $2650 worth of furniture on 5/30. We were told that our furniture will arrive within 4-6 weeks, but it did not happen. Every time someone told me that store manager would call me within 24 hours, but I never received a call.
On 7/20 I got a call telling me that wrong bed was delivered by the manufacturer. They would set the wrong bed for few now and replace it later.
On 7/21, delivery guys set up wrong bed in my house. When I came back from office I noticed scratches in Bed's headboard. not only that I was told by the sales man that the bed would be solid hardwood, but side rails were not solid wood but MDF. Luckily two corners of side rails were exposed by dents so I happened to find out. Additionally, one side of one of the drawers of night stand has crack and there are few dents on night stands.
I called the store manager and asked him to return the order, he told me that he would deduct 20% restocking fees from total amount.
Very bad experience!!

Scam!!! Incompetent staff/manipulating sales reps. They lie to make a sale!!!!! Delivery dates get extended with BS reasoning. REFUSED TO CANCEL & REFUND!!!!!!
PLEASE READ REVIEWS ON GOOGLE/Yelps/BBB "Before" Making purchase!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$$!!!!!!!!!
WASTE OF TIME!! The staff is a bunch of morons. I went in there to look at a sectional and asked about the Made in America discount they were offering and I was told I couldn't use that because the Sectional I was looking at was not "Made in America" ...I told him yes it was, he said no it wasn't...I went on my iPhone to find it and there it was "made in America"...then my husband found it written right on the sectional. Then the salesman finally said "OK, maybe it was, I didn't think it was". So...he argued continuously with us until we had to prove ourselves right not once but twice and we never even got an apology!! I would absolutely NEVER buy from this store. To the manager of this store....Let your salesman know how important personality is in this business. Word of mouth goes very quickly nowadays, whether good or bad.
We shopped the big stores…Bob’s, Jordan’s etc. for a sofa. In our travels to New Hampshire we saw the Ashbrook store and popped in to see what they had. First contact was Scott. He showed us what they had. Something caught our eye so we asked the two important questions…..Do we have to pay Mass Sales tax (answer was NO) and what is the delivery charge (answer was NONE). At this point we were very specific that any delivery would be outside, over the porch rail, to the second floor. This is the way it has been for over 50 years. We went home, did some measuring and went back a couple weeks later. Scott was not in and we ended up with Maria who was also very helpful in choosing the size and color we wanted. We were not able to order the sofa at that time but knew what we wanted. Before we went back to order, I went online to see if there were any reviews. There were and they were not good. Because the price was good and we really did not find anything anywhere else, we still decided to go back. When we told Maria that we wanted to order that specific sofa with specific colors, everything was fine until she told us the delivery charge. She disagreed that we were told free second floor delivery by Scott, telling us that they always charge for delivery. When I showed her the printed reviews and that I really had my doubts about doing business here, she agreed on no delivery charge. She was told again that it was second floor outside over the rail.
When the truck arrived and they saw it was an outside delivery, they wanted $150.00. I told them that Ashbrook knew about this delivery but that was no help. They left, I made and call and we cancelled the order. The best part about this whole thing was I did get a very prompt FULL credit to my credit card.
I would be very skeptical about dealing with these folks. If you are in Mass, check out the little store in Stoneham Square. That is where we finally ended up buying.
Was very happy with the experiance of buying the furniture. The salesman was excellent. We were told the furniture would be in between 4 and 5 weeks. We got a call today 2 days shy of 5 weeks. So that is fine but they can't deliver until Wednesday which is 4 days from now. Not happy about that. We were told the truck wouldn't be comming this way till then. But we paid 100 dollars for delivery so I don't think that we should have to wait. That more than covers the expence of delivery. Would increase the rating to 4 and a half if they would deliver sooner.
