I've been a customer for over 5 years. They have the best employees and they provide excellent service. You can even bring extra stuff to the transfer station, for a reasonable rate. Overall a great company.

I do not have trash service through them but I use their transfer station/ dump service for disposing of construction debris and general trash. They charge by weight not volume which is perfect. $45/ ton (last time I was there) same load that cost me $130 to dump at Liberty cost me $38 at Modern. Love these guys, super helpful at the yard assisting in unloading, very nice people.

I called to cancel my service on November 20th with my last pick up on December 7th. At that time, I asked if I would receive a refund of the remaining month of service I had already paid. I was told YES! I called again near the 20th of December and asked when the garbage can would be collected (as it was already past the time frame I had been told) and again, asked about the refund because I had not yet received a check. At that time I was told that checks were cut once a month and she did not know when that date was. I called back again today, January 7th, 2016 and was treated like a liar. I was told everyone knows they do not give refunds and that no one would have told me any differently. I absolutely do not appreciate being treated like I am lying and then having every employee deny speaking with me. They obviously have records of me calling because they read the call notes back to me.



Be careful when dealing with Modern Waste, they are not honest and do not deliver what they promise.

They miss pick up every other week, when I call to complain on fridays, they claim to have till the end of the day, then I have to wait till monday to complain again, meanwhile the animals are tearing apart the trash. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!
