I was very disappointed in Mel's Diner on Thanksgiving Evening. I have eaten at this restaurant many times before but my dinner Thanksgiving evening was not edible! I ordered the Ham dinner that included a salad, sweet potato, stuffing and corn. The ham was so salty and the mashed sweet potato tasted like baby food out of a jar. The corn was fine. The stuffing had no taste. The rolls served seemed a day or two old. I have had the blackened grouper salad before and it had always been delicious! Not sure if they have a new cook at Mel's Diner since I have stopped in for the blackened grouper salad but this dinner was not edible. I ordered a piece of coconut cream pie to take home and it did not taste like coconut cream pie. It was very heavy and I had to throw it out.

Had dinner last night. Waiter never returned shortly after giving me my meal never asked me if I wanted another beer had to ask for a wet nap after eating my messey rib should have come with the meal. Never asked meal how my meal was onion rings were ice cold. Did not feel his lack of service was worthy of a 20% tip I left 15%. On the way out the waiter was walking behind me passing nasty comments like oh boy a got two dollars oh boy well I guess two dollars is better than nothing. He was trying to embarrass me but it didn't work. I hope young man you are reading this complaint because let me give you a piece advice. The next you get a tip that you may think is less than 20% ask yourself what was it that I didn't do that got me a small tip. Shame on you.

This place is horrible dirty and full of bugs. Bed bugs roaches, and other bugs. Manager hardly speak English and the place is noy well taken care of.

Top notch oysters on the half shell, good service, gets very almost too loud on the weekend nights. But damn good food!

bad customer service i had a party of 9 there was no host to seat us down waiting at the front at lease ten min while workers passing by so i stop one of the employee to seat us, then had to wait at lease 20min more and no never came to ask what are we drinking nothing, so my family & i just got up and left.

Friendly, clean and comfortable. Good pub food. Nice outside seating area.

Very expensive, but tasty. Cooks met us and sat us at our table. Grouper was mushy. Coconut shrimp grat. Portions plentiful.

I lived in Oaks Apartments for a couple of years and I am so happy I can finally move out. Where should I even start? Well, these are big and cheap apartments ( I have to admit that) but they are dirty and not well taken care of.- The inside of the apartments are full of roaches. I spent so much money on pest control and products to try to get rid of them and it lasted a while but they always came back. I am a very clean person so this to me was just nasty.- Ceilings have mold, appliances are broken and never fixed even if you make a request. My refrigerator leaks water 24 hours and does not cool properly. Stove tops are damaged. Only two work. I have contacted management several times about the issue and nothing was ever done.- Maintenance is very poor. Hallways are always dirty and when they are cleaned they smell like vomit from an old mop. Laundry rooms are always full, dark and expensive. Washers make your clothes dirtier and dryer simply does not dry. Hallway lights are half on and half broken but never fixed.- Manager is rude and has preferences. He gives some people special treatment. I have seen about 5 or more people in a 1 bedroom apartment. When that type of apartment is rented I was told the maximum was 2. He judges people and is a liar. Lease is a joke. Do not expect a deposit back. Even if the apartment is in better conditions when you leave than when you arrived. Cameras are just part of decoration since they do not work. Cars get hit, things get stolen and he never knows anything since they do not work.- If you have problems after 5pm or on Sunday forget about it! He will not answer the door or show by. Pool is dirty and bathrooms in there are storage rooms.- No pets policy? Pleeeease! I have seen dogs and cats many times in those apartments. If you are looking for something cheap and can handle the poor to no maintenance and bad treatments go ahead. Apartments are not in a good area either. I can always hear the neighbors and people in front screaming. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
