Good shoes - WAY over priced -- needs to be reported to the BBB. I wish I had read the reviews before I went there. He told me the shoes were slip-resistant - THEY are NOT. He accepted whatever cash I had - short of what he was asking - didn't ring it through w/a register receipt. I saw same shoes online for $50 less and free shipping!

I had been to this store once before and had picked up on two facts. First of all the prices exceed full retail by a wide margin. Second, the owner is nothing short of a complete jerk. I did however note that they did have a good selection. When they ran a coupon ($25 off) in last Sundays paper I decided to give them another chance. The owner was out on a bench bickering with someone on the phone, so I assumed I was safe from his most rude demeanor. I walked into the store and was met by a man and a woman. I asked for the shoe and size that I desired, and they showed them to me and quoted a price of $124. I asked if they discounted work shoes for people in my industry. They claimed that they had already done that despite the fact that I had not given any information that would warrant that to this point. I then presented my coupon, at which time they told me that this discount had also already been applied. I needed these work shoes bad enough to pay over retail price for them. I however will never do business with crooked people. The owner walked in just in time to hear me articulate this fact to these scam artists. I have since told everyone in my industry this story, and plan to warn everyone I care about to avoid this store. I will stop in long enough to tell them to read the reviews here. They say it all!

i bought one pair of athletic shoes for $ 399.00 . from the SHOE WAREHOUSE ,Two days later by chance I received a catalog from a first class retail store showing the exact shoe for $159.00. I had also placed an order for another pair of shoes that were out of stock.. In order for the owner to place an order for these shoes he required that I pay,in full, the price of the shoes$399.00 After receiving the catalog I became suspicious that I had t been over charged which lead me to check the price of the on order shoes.Sure enough the shoes are shown for $279.00 from two sources on the internet..Another $120.00 overcharge.
I went back to the store to check if possible an error had been made. The answer ""I can charge whatever I want..my policy is no credit just a store credit ""As to the on order shoes they had arrived and my choice was take them or leave them..NO CREDIT IS MY POLICY..
by another chance a women from Ohio visiting Naples was sitting on the bench at the front door speaks to me and relates that she too was trying to return a pair of shoes as she realized that she had been overcharged (SHE BOUGHT THE EXACT SHOES IN ANOTHER STORE AT A MUCH LOWER PRICE AND WAS ATTEMPING TO RETURN THE SHOES SHE WAS OVERCHARGED ""THE OWNERS ANSWER ,,MY POLICY IS NO CREDITS OTHER THAN STORE CREDITS.
So friends if you choose to buy in this store BUYER BEWARE.
As to the owner he deserves whatever may come to him..""WHAT EVER GOES AROUND COMES AROUND""

I went to the Shoe Warehouse for the first time to purchase 2 pair of Birkenstocks. The salesperson agreed on a price for both pairs. When I checked out at the register, with the owner of the store, he charged full price even through we had discussed what the price should be! When I was signing the receipt I noticed the total was to much. He then attempted to credit my account and gave me a receipt to that effect. When I checked my debit account, he had not credited the twenty dollars but instead charged another twenty. Now I had paid $40.00 more than was agreed upon! It took two phone conversations to get this problem corrected. A few months later I brought my daughter in to purchase the same type of shoe. We were told they were out of stock but would be in next week, in their weekly delivery. I called and was told someone forgot to order the shoes, and they would be in within 10 days. Two weeks later we stopped into the store and the shoes were not in. I was told no one would order the shoes until they were prepaid, and then the shoes would be delivered within two weeks. All of this differing information came from the owner. Against my better judgement I paid for the shoes, and called in two weeks to find out they did not have the shoes. Then I am told they will be delivered in two to four weeks. Another phone call and I was told the shoes will be available in another month. Now I have waited 3 and 1/2 MONTHS, when there are 3 other
stores, I have since found, that have this particulate shoe in stock. During my last phone call to the owner I was told it would be another month or so before the manufacturer would ship the shoes. I stated this is not acceptable and to please credit my account. I was told they do not ever return money and that he was very busy with customers!! I said 'I am a customer', his response was 'you have already paid'!!! and then he hung up on me!!!! To end this I did a charge back through my bank. I will never shop there again.
