Some of my favorite brews are by South Cypress (in the Brass Tap). Consistent full flavor. They have so much on tap to choose from as well. Great atmosphere and love to sit on patio after a long day.
I was very disappointed in Mel's Diner on Thanksgiving Evening. I have eaten at this restaurant many times before but my dinner Thanksgiving evening was not edible! I ordered the Ham dinner that included a salad, sweet potato, stuffing and corn. The ham was so salty and the mashed sweet potato tasted like baby food out of a jar. The corn was fine. The stuffing had no taste. The rolls served seemed a day or two old. I have had the blackened grouper salad before and it had always been delicious! Not sure if they have a new cook at Mel's Diner since I have stopped in for the blackened grouper salad but this dinner was not edible. I ordered a piece of coconut cream pie to take home and it did not taste like coconut cream pie. It was very heavy and I had to throw it out.
Lucky to find such an experienced team of real estate agents. They know the market and how to negotiate to get the best deal possible.
My family and I were visiting town and came across this place on Yelp. We decided to try it out and loved it. I highly suggest it.
Had dinner last night. Waiter never returned shortly after giving me my meal never asked me if I wanted another beer had to ask for a wet nap after eating my messey rib should have come with the meal. Never asked meal how my meal was onion rings were ice cold. Did not feel his lack of service was worthy of a 20% tip I left 15%. On the way out the waiter was walking behind me passing nasty comments like oh boy a got two dollars oh boy well I guess two dollars is better than nothing. He was trying to embarrass me but it didn't work. I hope young man you are reading this complaint because let me give you a piece advice. The next you get a tip that you may think is less than 20% ask yourself what was it that I didn't do that got me a small tip. Shame on you.
The view was great, service was good, but the food was terrible! The blackened grouper was not edible and was so tough it could not be cut with a knife. The manager was apologetic about the fish and said it shouldn’t have been brought the table, so we ordered a filet mignon and “lamb” instead. The filet was OK but the “lamb” was lousy and a joke at $38; It only had tiny bits of lamb mixed in with a tomato based sauce on pasta. The setting was great but not relaxing due to a play area being situated between our table and the beach which had numerous children jumping right in front of the us, doing cartwheels in the grass. The kettle one martinis were very good and pricey at $17 each. Baleen also charges $5.00 plus tip for valet parking (there is no self-parking), which should be complementary when spending a few hundred dollars for dinner. We'd consider going back for drinks sometime because the view is very nice, but we will never return for a meal again. This meal was a second chance given to La Playa after a disappointing meal last year.
bad customer service i had a party of 9 there was no host to seat us down waiting at the front at lease ten min while workers passing by so i stop one of the employee to seat us, then had to wait at lease 20min more and no never came to ask what are we drinking nothing, so my family & i just got up and left.
Friendly, clean and comfortable. Good pub food. Nice outside seating area.
January 2015 I listed my home with Premier Plus Realty. John Solakian was the agent that was referred to me. Keith Teague was the Broker for John.I listed my home with a tenant that currently was renting month to month with me and was informed of the sale of the home and had no issues at the time. John Solakian made the appointment to take photos of the property. I never to this day have even seen the listing or the photos.Mr. Solakian wanted to setup appointments to show the home and while trying to do that my tenants had found an additional agreement that I didn’t know held any legal ground. Needless to say the agreement was a lease extensions until June of 2018. The tenants refused access to the home and the listing was removed from MLS immediately. Mr. Solakian informed me of what happened and I immediately tried to remedy the situation. I hired counsel and Mr. Solakian referred to me a friend of his that is a real estate attorney. We started working on finding out a way to settle with the tenants to continue to sell the home as planned. After thousands of dollars in legal work the tenants have made it impossible to move forward with any settlement.I had originally listed the property around $270K and even had thoughts of raising it to $300K and make a great deal that would be positive to everyone. We tried everything but because of the tenants nothing came about. I looked into other avenues.I had found a company that would purchase my home at wholesale price $45K less than the original listing price. The only drawback is that they will not work with an agent. I sent a copy of the offer and requests to Mr. Solakian for help and advice on this. Immediately his tone changed and he started reminding me on how the agreement we have is EXCLUSIVE and no one else can interfere with the sale of the property. I understand and respect the agreement however there are a few things. The listing agreement is from January to July and the only thing done was taking pictures and entered into MLS for maybe a DAY! The home has never been shown or an offer on it. No plans to market it “Tenant Occupied “have ever been made. The property stood still with no possibility to sell it.I found an alternative route that loses lots of money of the price but will take over the tenants with the purchase of the home. I asked Premier Plus Realty what can be done to terminate the listing agreement and they first said nothing. I stated my case to the head broker David Gallus and explained the situation. I offered to pay $1000 for the small amount of time they invested in listing the property and I believe that was generous.I get a call from the Head Broker David Gallus today saying “well I went to BAT for you but Keith and John came up with their own deal and want $4000 to terminate the listing." I was shocked that they had the nerve to ask for more money. There is only a matter of a couple hours of time invested in actual work here. $1000 should be more than enough.Mr. Gallus informed me that I can pay $4000 and terminate the listing, or I can wait it out till July and hope the company interested in my property is still willing to make an offer.I am now waiting to have another option or for the listing timer to run out.
Very expensive, but tasty. Cooks met us and sat us at our table. Grouper was mushy. Coconut shrimp grat. Portions plentiful.
