This is in response to the child below my post, You sir sound like a little girl with all your complaining, take your tampon out first before posting and grow a pair and quit complaining about your pathetic life I'm sick of reading so many people's reviews about there one bad experience at an establishment and they feel the need to make a place look bad from their ONE EXPERIENCE
I must say the popcorn is rather good but the service… needs “buttering-up”.
To be more specific, the young lady/cashier that was behind the counter Monday Labor Day 2009 at 5:30PM needs coaching. My wife purchased a small bag of mixed popcorn and handed the young lady a $20 bill. The cashier prepared our purchase and proceeded to smack our change down on the counter top instead of placing it in my wife’s hand (which would have been the same manor we presented payment to Kernel Fabyan's Gourmet Popcorn Shoppe).
My wife was insulted by this and so was I. I find this to be totally rude in nature. We took our purchase and vowed never to patronize Kernel Fabyan's Gourmet Popcorn Shoppe in Naperville, IL. again. The next day 9/8/2009 I was still thoroughly insulted and decided to call the store and talk to the Owner or Manager in charge. I relayed my concerns to Manager “Dave” at 10AM today Tuesday September 8, 2009. Dave, for the most part, made excuses for the employee and has been aware of her “issues on providing good service” for some time now but continues to have this young lady in a position to greet customers on behalf of Kernel Fabyan's Gourmet Popcorn Shoppe.
Manager/Dave offered nothing but an apology for the employee’s rudeness, which he already had past complaints about, and chose not to add to his apology something like “I do hope you will shop with us again….” Or “I apologize for employee X and can I offer you a free small bag of popcorn complements of Kernel Fabyan's Gourmet Popcorn Shoppe?”. I would have turned down the free bag but having the offer would have really shown that the Management of this establishment had an inkling of concern or cared about their customer experiences. It is obvious they do not.
I will not be patronizing this establishment in the future.
