I do not have the experience of going to doctors a whole lot, until recently. But one of the things that I do know from experience is that doctors can be cold, and often times look down at you, and not explain things to you because they think frankly, that you just won't understand. Well anything could possibly be further from the truth with Dr. Tran. I have had some sinus issues, that he is helping me with as well as a couple good old fashioned cases of the flu. Dr. Tran has always taken the time to listen to me, even when I know his patients are stacking up. He explains the medications to me, and has never steered me wrong. If I have a concern, he addresses it the right way, and I generally know what to expect. He will be my doctor for a long time. He knows me, and while I do not ""Look Forward"" to seeing him, I am glad he is there for me.

I had seen a physician from this group for a routine checkup. My cholesterol levels were high and the physician said I needed to take statin medications. I told him I had taken them before and had dropped them due to side effects. I said I preferred to control my levels with diet and exercise. He said because I refused to take the prescribed meds, he would no longer order cholesterol tests to check my levels since he couldn't do anything to affect them. Without feedback I said, I would not know whether my change in diet or exercise program was effective or not. He didn't seem to care and suggested I find another doctor. Further he sent me a letter saying I was banned from seeing any other physicians (approx. 22) from the Edward Medical Group because I refused his prescribed treatment. I received a call from their Risk Management department two days later confirming that any refusal by a patient for a prescribed course of treatment was grounds for dismissal.
