Cable One Sucks. I pay over $110 dollars a month and it is hard to get service. When I first got cable TV it was $16 a month, and then Cable One bought that company out and the continually jack-up their prices. The cable line to my house was underground and now it is on top of the ground.
DO NOT USE CABLEONE! They are frauds. They advertise a special on both their website and by mail, and when you call to get it they refuse to honor the deal they advertise, wanting to charge more. I have reported them to both the Attorney General in Idaho as well as to the FCC.
We're paying over $100 a month for bundled service, and the customer service is dismal. I've been on the phone ALL DAY. My automated payment didn't go through, so they shut everything off at 4am. Before we even had a chance to see the payment didn't go through. Getting everything turned back on has turned into a debacle. The lady at our local office was a total witch and had an attitude from the second we called to schedule our payment for the next day, saying she couldn't do that and we had to pay right then. I had to take a midterm, so we borrowed some money from a friend to pay it. The phone and TV still haven't been connected and the payment isn't posted to the account, though the care agent told me they can verify the payment has been made and did go through. They just can't get it to update. I've been hung up on multiple times and told I never made a payment. I've been transferred 4 times. I've been on hold for over 3 hours off and on. It's still unresolved. And yet the main office sent me verification of my payment. The Nampa office is incompetent, rude and their outright refusal to look into the issue is sickening considering how much we're paying. The local office closed before I got the chance to get it fixed, so it looks like we have no phone or telly tonight, and the internet is only going to be on until midnight, because I pitched a fit over my midterm.
We're paying for the fastest internet because my household plays a lot of online games and we host LAN parties, and we went with Cable One because they offered the fastest internet. We got a DVR to record my little boy's shows. We've been loyal customers and always pay within 3 days of the bill being due. Customer service like this makes me sick. Not to mention, certain times every day our internet is so slow. We're getting the 50 mbps and our friends with 5 from CenturyLink have faster internet than us at certain high usage hours.
I will never recommend Cable One to anyone.
Cable One is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. Signed up for 50 mb service. First month had 5-10 days of intermitent outages due to upgrade techinical issues according to tech support. Nothing done there to help. Then received bill for more than quoted and was advised there were overage charges, and when I signed up I advised them of what I was going to use this for and they told me this would be perfect. Limited data and very poor reliability along with terrible customer service and lack of customer support. Would never do business with them again.
I am so glad I switched back to CableONE! They have always had the best internet ..bar none...but with their new 50mb service it's better than ever! Also, by bundling their TV and Phone services we are saving $50 compared to what I had been paying withe Direct TV and Century Link. We have HDTV/DVR services and get every single Bronco game.....thank you very much!
Cable One is a rip off... the only way I would ever get them again is if my credit was bad, and or I didn't have enough cash to put down on equipment for Dish or DTV. I had DTV and upon moving realized that this would not be an option since no equipment can be put on the apartments I moved into.
We decided to go with the "Ultimate Package" since we had Direct TV previously, we wanted all our channels, and paired it with the internet to "offset the cost". Let me tell you.... NOT WORTH IT. Cable Ones "HDTV" is not even true HD, It's 480.. maybe 780p if you're lucky... and there's only like 20 channels included in that. Internet is 5mbps (50 bucks a month), which they slow at their will to "maximize experience for all customers." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Get Dish.. or DTV and Qwest net. Save yourself the hassle.
