Chicken Fried steak "watery & doeie", jalapeño stingers mealie & watery & not cooked ! Got the bill & intial bill different from one they ran on my credit card! Saved copies for proof for the BBB, Tyler Retail Merchants Association, & Smith County authorities for proof of credit card fraud. Overcharged for one orders of stingers & tax and when approached acting manager EVAN was told we couldn't get a refund for three days on the overcharge & he couldn't give us any kind of receipt of proof that we would be refunded their error. I further tried to show him we had 3 different tickets with three different amounts & he got vexed & told me and my family to leave or he would call the cops! I pointed to a phone on the wall and told him to call them as I wanted to get this issue straightened out and our refund & he stated "that phone didn't work & walked off!" My family & I left after paying an $88.00 plus bill ( over charged @ least. $7.95. + tax. & tip ) & we left a $15.00 cash tip. !!!

Best catfish and onion rings. We ordered the onion rings as an apetizer and they bring them out stacked sky high. From hamburgers to great steaks this place has it all. Nice atmosphere next to an old train depot. We highly recommend it.

The best restaurant in town! I enjoy going to Clear springs with the family. The kids always seem to enjoy looking at the fish in the fishtank. My youngest really likes their chicken strips and he's a tough one to please! I always get the fried catfish which is breaded with this awesome batter that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. My husband starts his meal off with the jalapeno crawfish chowder and then gets the fisherman's platter which is fried catfish and shrimp. With coleslaw, pinto beans, fries and hushpuppies. Unlike my son my husband really likes to eat. I highly suggest that people try this place out whether you are just passing through or just starting college.
