General Info

Optimystic has been providing professional medical eye care services to SE CT with an emphasis on respect for the patient since 1998. This is a private medical practice, delivering personal community-based care. Located beside the train station in the Mystic Packer Building with free, convenient parking available, we are the local source for your eye care needs. We offer comprehensive routine examination, as well as treat ocular disease, injury and infections. Care of the diabetic, glaucoma and proper contact lens evaluation are also areas of special concern. Dr. Thomas Wagner participates with all the locally sold premier health insurance companies and vision plans, and we strive to make your experience a positive one. Tuesday evening and Saturday morning appointments are available for those that may require a more convenient time. Children, seniors, and families are welcomed as well as patients with special needs.

We provide professional medical eyecare, in the form of eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, infection, and/or ocular emergency. As members of the SE CT medical community, we strive to coordinate your care here within the scope of your overall health. Refractive services for eyeglasses and contact lenses are also offered. There are appointments available during Tuesday evenings and Saturdays for your convenience. We present a broad range of quality ophthalmic products, when required by our patients as best choice to solve their needs. Our goal is to eliminate your problem, with lightweight spectacles and/or contact lenses. We utilize the appropriate progressive lens for your prescription and frame selection, with lenses from Zeiss, Varilux, and Kodak. We fit reputable products from companies with a concentration on quality, innovation, and value. Disposable, Multifocal, Astigmatic, and Overnight contact lens fittings are available for those requiring the ultimate in visual performance, without the risk of surgery. We participate with all the premier area insurance companies, as well as most better vision plans such as VSP and EyeMed. If you do not see yours below, please call and ask for details.
