Housekeeping service was awful! Had to ask for room to be cleaned and fresh towels every afternoon. One day waited 2 1/2 hours to get clean towels for showers. Breakfast buffet wad awful and definitely not worth the money as it was not much more than a continental breakfast. Lazy river was closed for two days of our stay and dirty. Parking garage had very limited parking available and often had to park across the street. Fitness center was a room off the parking garage and felt very unsafe.

We stayed at compass cove at the end of September 2017. Could not have asked for a better place. The service was great and if I needed anything they were very efficient. My wife is in a wheel chair and the accommodations for us was great. The staff (maids ,maintenance guys the guys on the decks at the pools) were all so friendly. That's what I like to see in a place I stay. I must say I really enjoyed our stay and planning on booking another stay in January, and February. The guys and gals at compass cove were great to us. clean rooms nice people if you need some thing they help you dont have to ask but one time and they come right away nice view confy beds clean bathroom clean hall ways clean pools and hot tub
I wouldn't even give this place one star. We decided to stay in Myrtle Beach last minute and all the other hotels were booked, so we decided to just give this place a shot. It definitely was not our first choice, but it was our only option for the night. It's so rundown, small, outdated, dirty, disgusting and it has BEDBUGS! As soon as I pulled back the blankets/sheets there was bedbugs in room 305! The owner wasn't even going to give me my money back until I said I had a photo of the bugs and would report him. He even had the nerve to ask me to go remake the bed and shut off the AC before he would give me a refund. The housekeeper was smoking in our room while cleaning it, the housekeeper also told me not to let my 16 month old walk around in the room because the floors are gross no matter how much she cleaned them, they did not have any soaps, there's no wifi, there was dead bugs on the floor and cobwebs all over the place, it's not in a terrible area but the people are gross, and if you have more than 1 car in the parking lot you have to pay an extra $10 for each car. Needless to say, we got our money back and made the 3 hour drive home instead. I would never recommend this nasty place to anyone. 0/5 stars from me!
Upon check-in, we were told there would be a fee of $50 per night for 2 very small crated dogs. During the stay I emailed the hotel inquiring about how much they charge for 2 small dogs and was told $30 per night which shows dishonesty among the staff. That is still outrageous considering other hotels in the area weren't charging at all. Also, the smoke alarm chirped loudly the entire time which caused me to have a continuous headache for 4 days. Eventually the maintenance man took it off the wall completely which, I believe, is more than likely against fire code. Upon check-out, the front desk person was EXTREMELY rude about having to credit us some of the pet fee due to being caught in their lie. I had chosen this hotel after reading reviews about how friendly and clean this family-owned property was. I am a small business owner and I would rather support a small family-owned business than a large chain. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone.

Hell no way....not decent not kind not friendly scott could not give me a remote that worked...he was too busy hiding in the back...making coffee and making sure he would not have to do anything for customers.....I think he forgot that customers matter...
We was in line for an hour and 15 minutes to check in. The line was out the door with only 2 people working at the desk. We get to the room and it was filthy. Gnats was flying around the kitchen and the towels and rags had an odor. I'm glad we bought our own towels. The beds felt like we was sleeping on top of springs. The worst nights sleep ever. The biggest complaint is the cleanliness. There was dust all over the vents. Hair was in the bathroom floor. We had to wear shoes the whole time because there was no way we was walking on that floor. We went and got cleaning supplies so we could feel comfortable staying in that room. They need to take those pictures off their website because it looks nothing like that. They also need to get people in there that are going to actually clean those room. So disappointing and we will never stay here again
Everyone was polite. I always get a suite because need a separate place to sit at night and others can lay down. I was given two beds but no suite. Room was under construction not up to date I would stay again AFTER construction. You should be forewarned if you are getting a small room and hotel is under construction.
Apparently you cannot cancel reservations due to a family emergency .......first they say I'll ask the supervisor , then say its policy no changes ???? Really 5 days notice in an empty hotel is $150 worth of their time !!!!!!
