This place was wonderful. It was right across the street from the beach so that was convenient. We spent a lot of time in the pool there too. The pool had a great kids area right in the front of the pool which was shallow for all the kids.

I would give this place a -10 rating if I could! I would rather sleep on the side of the road than deal with the ignorant "manager" again! I made a reservation then decided less than 48 later I needed to cancel it. I called to see if I could get my 50% deposit back, the manager informed me he couldn't do that, which was frustrating, but I understood the policy. I hung up while I thought about whether or not I wanted to cancel the reservation or not. how I was spoken to when I called back is the ridiculous part! When the "manager" picked up the phone I said, " I need to cancel a reservation" he replied with "yea we talked earlier" and I told him "yes I know we spoke earlier but I didn't officially cancel my reservation" he answered, "I don't want to talk to you, call Expedia" and he hung up. I called back and I assume he saw my caller ID because he picked up and then immediately slammed the phone down with out saying anything. I called back multiple times and got the same response. Absolutely appalling that any person would be spoken to that way, especially a customer of theirs. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
They can't even answer the phone. It's pathetic, here I'm calling at 7:39am and still no response, says open 24/7??? Mm
We stayed there August 1-5 and were disappointed. We have stayed there twice a year for the last 20 years and never been so disappointed. The staff is rude and don't care if we are satisfied. Had to chase down the cleaning staff to get towels and the rooms smelled and were not clean. The pools were not cleaned properly and the bathrooms just dirty. The new owners changed the rates and ended up paying $30 more than original price per night. The hot tub was cold and after complaining several times they finally got it a little warm. Could hardly get an answer in the office for anything. The towels were old and scratchy and just plain dingy!! After 20 plus years of staying there, I will never go back there again. And that was the way most other people felt when talking with them at the hotel. The new owners are driving away customers fast with their changes and attitudes and lack of concern for guest feelings.
Please do not come to this hotel and if you are be ready to be infested by bed bugs. This is honestly a embarrassment even for a motel it is too over priced for such bad quality like don't even come here it's better to sleep outside than to come here
Great place to stay. Right across the street from the beach. They also have a pool right there. Walking distance to almost everything.
This is the worst place to stay it had roaches and the owner was terribly rude and they were not very accommodating
The place has recently gotten remodeled but the original carpet and doors remain with paint spray on them. The door to the bathroom slides across the vanity just being able to open. The room was freezing so we tried to make it warmer but the unit started to smell like it was burning and set the fire alarm off. The unit was also leaking water all on the floor.

I have stayed at Red Roof Inn Myrtle Beach a handful of times and the experience has always been pleasant. However, my most recent experience with Red Roof Inn Myrtle Beach will be my last after dealing with the manager, Dave, who was very disrespectful. If you are looking for respectful customer service from management, look for a different hotel.
