My personal car died completely (factory defect) in Myrtle Beach on a Sunday morning in the middle of a tropical storm. I needed to be home, 135 miles away that same day so renting a car Enterprise was my thought and I was pleased that they could accommodate me on short notice, although not without some complications. The people were very pleasant and helpful. The only vehicles they had available were cargo vans. Not my first choice, but I could not be choosy at that point. The store hours seemed strange, 9 AM - 1 PM on Sundays, putting me in a bit of a time crunch. They did not have sufficient staff on hand to pick me up so I had to take a cab. Only 1 person was working the store front when I arrived, 1 hour before closing, behind 2 previous customers. At least 7 more customers came in while I was there so I am sure Arthur did not get out of there by the 1 PM closing. I do want to stress that Arthur was EXTREMELY professional, courteous and helpful. I received a small "city cargo" van which got me back on the road. The daily rate was $50.00, which is considerable higher that the rate for a vehicle that would have been my preference and I was not offered any discount. I felt like I had been a little taken advantage of under my urgent circumstances. The van was quite noise and rough riding so I checked the tires the next morning before driving it. The maximum recommended pressure stated on the tires was 35 PSI and all 4 tires were inflated to 50 PSI. This was a nearly new truck with less that 600 miles on it when I picked it up so it appeared that it had not been properly serviced when it was first put into use.Again, very pleasant experience under the circumstances but more expensive than I would have expected from past experiences with Enterprise and the maintenance of the vehicle was not what I would expect.
Great car. Guy at counter awesome. In fact, told me I had all kinds of extras using my American Express to secure that I did not know. However filled up hour away and when we got there, tank registered a bit higher than 7/8ths of tank but not quite full. Was charged $14 extra to make it full although we had receipt. So much for using my one free day as a patron. Paying less in FL for a car in a week than an economy car in Myrtle for 5 days. Will be using others from now on.
I rented a full size car when we went to Myrtle Beach July2nd-July9th. When I went to get our car rental, the woman behind the counter was very friendly, courteous and was very efficient. I was even upgraded to a small SUV. We had no problems with our rental. The business was closed when we dropped off our car, we dropped the keys in the box and left for home. I would rent from Enterprise anytime I need a car.
If you want fast, friendly, professional service--visit the National Car Rental counter at Myrtle Beach International Airport. They handle all my business travel reservations and the staff there is SUPERB! Every vehicle I've been assigned has been clean, serviced and ready for pick up when I arrive at the counter. Another top-notch experience this past week---great job NATIONAL CAR RENTAL at MYRTLE BEACH!
Once again, Enterprise provides top notch service at reasonable prices.. Their vehicle selection was wide ranging. We reserved our vehicle online. It was ready, clean and gassed up. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. No delays. We will definitely use their service again. Quality vehicle at a reasonable price.
We rent full size cars frequently based on price from Myrtle Beach Airport. Last 2 and best rentals were with Enterprise. The cars were clean & this time we got a backup camera, rare @ MB unless on higher level cars. Last time we got an upgrade to a jeep with no backup camera. Service is better than most at Enterprise.
Car had over powering odor from cigarette smoke. Due to schedule I did not have time to wait for another car. First stop after my meeting was to pick up air freshener. I would like to have seen this issue corrected after rental was turned in prior to my rental, since they are all non smoking cars.
Thru Costco I was to be quoted an inclusive pricing which I did not receive . I made numerous calls to correct the error. The car seat rental was terrible. I did not expect top of the line; but it was bad . The rental was clean but small for an upgrade. I will not use Enterprise again .
I rented a car from here for 22 days and these were the most pleasant people to work with. The wait time was minimal and they listened to your needs without rushing you through. I would recommend them when you are in need of a rental.
Alamo is the first place I check for car rental deals. Prices are reasonable. Also no hold/security deposit on credit card. just the amount of rental. Customer service excellent. Use them for Myrtle Beach, SC and Florida
