We hired and deposited 30% with JMoro Construction for two separate services, a porch addition and a concrete driveway extension. They were unable to secure a permit for the porch addition but were granted a permit for the driveway. JMoro's written contract specifically states the will provide all permits. Our driveway was completed satisfactorily and I requested the balance between its cost and our deposit to be returned. I was told they would "release ME and hold ME harmless from any loss of profit from our contract" as they were actually entitled to keep the entire deposit. They kept $250 for labor and overhead. Unprofessional at its best dealing with the owner Josh, his "boots on the ground" guy Jeremy was extremely helpful during the permitting process, but isn't that what they were contracted to do?
I tried to contact them several times 4-5 phone calls/ messages and 4-5 emails regarding my rental agreement. No one had responded to me in 12 days. Not a good way to conduct business. I received an email back saying sorry I was out of the office for a week. Although there was no messaging stating the person was out of the office, also no one else in the office bothered to return my phone calls. I let them know to just go ahead and cancel my reservation, to not charge my card I had found somewhere else to stay. So, after telling them 3 times via email to CANCEL my reservation and to not charge my card they still charged my card the first half of the rental agreement. I have my emails that said to cancel and not charge. They decided to charge me anyway. I am very disappointed and will never recommend this company.

Purchased my home in Nov. Contacted management with issues. Hole in tub, scratches in glass front door, tape showing in ceiling, streaks in ceilings, cracks in walls. Painters came to fix ceiling, but only painted in patches. Paint color didn't match. I am left with a huge mess. They say they are coming back to repaint, but only where they can see problem areas, not the entire ceiling as needed. I am told I will always see patches. Not true if entire ceiling is painted! My lawn is brown and crunchy and there is still debris everywhere. I don't think sprinklers are working and have asked to have the situation taken care of, to no avail. I am paying HOA fees, but am not getting anything in return.Does DrHorton even know any of this is happening. People working as painters are the worst ! Management has taken over the clubhouse, so there is very little room to hold any activities as stated when I moved in? What is being done with my HOA fees???
Great home, we absolutely love it. We talked with them a few times and toured some of their built homes before we decided on them. We are very happy we did because the whole experience was easy and hassle free. They did great work.
