NOT THE "SOUP NAZI", BUT THE "SOUP PAPI" = HE'S MUCH NICER!I have not tried anything but the homemade soup (but the pizza looks good, as they use sliced link sausage) made with no artificial thickeners. The "Soup Papi" told me today, himself, that he only uses heavy cream and roux (cooked butter and flour) as the base for his cream of asparagus, cream of potato, and New England clam chowder (this last soup has been selling out before the end of his two day supply he makes on Friday at noon). However, I tried his chili, and his chicken noodle soup, and we love every soup/chili he makes ("abundanza"). He will give you a generous sample to try first, and has two sizes to go ($3.50 for the large, and $2.50 for the small). This is a legit review (NO BULL!). As Catholics, we love the clam chowder for Fridays during Lent. Look for a huge smoker our front near the narrow entrance to the small strip mall ("J. Mike Plaza") which has Pop Pop's Pit BBQ, and a discount tobacco store in it.

They are originally from New York, so the pizza IS made by New Yorkers--just like being home again. EXCELLENT pizza...for those of us craving our northern foods, this is THE place to go to for good pizza and other Italian foods, such as Calzones, Subs, Stromboli's, etc. We're from Jersey and have the same foods as NY and crave them as well. Our opinion is that this facility rates FAR ABOVE all the others in the area...hands down. Family place, BYOB.In all the times we've been going here, there was only ONE pizza that came out overcooked. Service is great. They are located in the same shopping plaza as Kroger.NO reservations are needed; just walk in, although we're usually here during lunch time. We have actually driven 30 miles down just to have their pizza--it's that good! Two people, one pie and two fountain soft drinks, plus tax will set you back about $22-23. Certainly a bargain for the quality.
The best Italian restaurant in MB. It was so good I don’t know where to start. All dinners include bruschetta, soup, salad, bread, and spaghetti. The atmosphere is fantastic. Treated just like family. Live entertainment is first class from an accordion player who sang happy birthday to my daughter at the table quietly and gave it true meaning! During the evening he played romantic, peaceful classics that are known to all. The food was absolutely delicious. I had Shrimp San Marzano, my wife had Grouper(Cernia), kids had Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp .We continued to eat although we were full. Desert was a "must have" because the other food was so good. The tiramisu was to die for! Every time we visit Myrtle from this point forward we’ll frequent this restaurant. Reservations are recommended as this place will fill up fast and is only open for dinner. Enjoy…
Excellent New York style pizza at a likewise price. Nothing fancy about dining in, except that it will make you feel like you are sitting in a Brooklyn pizzeria, accents and all. Very friendly family owned and operated business. To the pizza..thin crust with very good sauce (not to heavy/thick) and cheese. All your typical toppings offered. They also have a 2x large pizza for $14.95 plus $2.00 each additional topping. Slices the size you'd buy out the window in the city. Recommend trying the calzone. Our cheese calzone was 12-14" long and devoured before the pizza came, by our family of 4. P.S. They even let us change the channel on the tv so we could watch ESPN and the NBA draft. :)
Please eat the deep dish pizza and let me know if you have ever had anything better. The pizza is out of this world, you get a feeling you are in some small town in New Jersey as you enter the restaurant. The salads are fantastic, the thin crust is outstanding. Locals drive 15 miles to eat at Anthony's. You will not go wrong here!Jay www.i-95south.com
We are originally from Jersey and miss our Italian food from there. This comes pretty close--not 100%, but pretty close. The portion sizes are extremely generous. OH--you MUST try the desserts--TO DIE FOR!! The Italian bread is almost like up north, too. You will NOT be disappointed. And the prices? Fuggedaboutit! Two can dine for under $40 easy.
Our family attempted to go to Brick House on 6/25/10. When we arrived it looked as though they were out of business BUT! noticed a sign in the window that stated "Will be open next week." I recommend calling first to ensure they are open. Disregard my star rating. Didn't want to hurt their previous rating since we didn't eat there.
We ordered pizza to go from here. It was one of the best pizzas we had ever had. We laughed saying it was because California was in the name. Even all the kids loved it which is not always easy.
Called another pizzeria but got bad service, than tried Mama Mia's, Well things definitely happen for a reason.................. they are AWESOME! The food, service and prices were GREAT!
This is by far the best pizza in Myrtle Beach. I had an 18" Carioca the other day and was fantastic. Everyone should know about them. 5 stars to the folks of Braza Pizza
