You are not paying for the publishing of your work... you pay for the publicity and marketing fees! It is not vanity press! Your work is chosen among thousands of manuscripts. If you don't believe in yourself, who else will believe in you? I have been with Tate for over 6 years and they have taken care of me and all my many questions. They were a fairly new company when they picked me up and I have tried to explain to folks... humans make mistakes and they were young people trying to make their way. Be patient and a bit more compassionate and just maybe things will work out for you. So far, so good in my dealings, but after all, you can't please all of the people, all of the time!
One Word of advice: leave Tate Publishing alone. If you're a new author, they'll charm you with all sorts of kindness. That is until they you to pay them upfront a large sum of money. After that, you're screwed. It's like they're a contractor--take your money and f--- the job. Check out Consumer Affairs and read the complaints that others have had with them. Thanks You....
DO NOT use this company! They have been an absolute nightmare since day one! I've gone through multiple project managers and have had to call this company daily in order to see any results. Please read the online reviews. What they are saying is correct and it is exactly what happened to me!http://www.consumeraffairs.com/misc/tate_publishing.html
HORRIBLE BUSINESS! DO NOT PUBLISH WITH THIS COMPANY. Please read these reviews first. I have had the exact same experiences with my book! http://www.consumeraffairs.com/misc/tate_publishing.html
