Country Squire Supper Club

We were very disappointed. There was quite a wait - and there were empty tables. I am not sure if we were supposed to spend a lot of time in the bar, but we had our kids with us and that wasn't what we were looking for.



The food was okay but not worth what they charged for it. The salad bar was nice but as far as we could tell, you were to go up once.



We had the chicken dumpling soup which did have a lot of chicken in it and did taste good but my cup only had one dumpling in it!



My daughter had one of the specials which was $23. It was a garlic shrimp pasta dish. The pasta was flavorless and watery. She did not enjoy it. I tried it and I agreed.



The rest of our meals were okay but definitely not good value for money.



Drinks were another thing - sodas come in small glasses and there are no free refills - but lots of ice.



We will not be going back - could have had better food for less!

My Family and I were looking for a nice sit down restaurant and we found the Country Squire (Its very nice in the restaurant they re-modeled the whole place and it looks outstanding!.. We were amazed! ; not many restaurants have a full salad bar anymore (that is all you can eat) with about 15 homemade salads, fresh lettuce, a tray of FRESH veggies, homemade crutons and all the salad dressings are homemade. We went there on a Friday for the fish fry which was OUTSTANDING! (They open up at 4:30 on Fridays..i suggest getting there early to put your name in cause around five it was packed and about a half hour wait)(Also Friday's is the only day they do not take reservations.) You have a choice of homemade french fries or the homemade potato pancakes....or you can get a little bit of both with your Fish Fry ; The potato pancakes were excellent! The Deep Fried cod is served Family style, and if you finish all your fish each person can re-order another piece. The fish fry includes HOMEMADE coleslaw , Rye bread with salt on the crust, and HOMEMADE tarter sauce..which is to Die for lol. For Desert we had HOMEMADE banana cream pie, and my boyfriend ordered a HOMEMADE strawberry Schaum Torte, which was to die for! The other Fish Options if you dont like deep fried cod are , Baked Cod Almondine, Regular Baked Cod, Deep Fried perch, Fresh Shrimp Platter, and Deep Fried Shrimp Platter..and of course the Deep Fried Cod...(my favorite :-) ...) (Also Friday Nights the whole Restaurant is SMOKE FREE!!!!!)



We Also Went there last Thrusday with a couple of our friends and i had the full rack of BBQ pork lion Ribs (best ribs ive ever had i must say)..I also had a Baked French onion Soup....with the melted cheese on top...Very good!.My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu which comes on a bed of wild rice and he loved it. My friends ordered the Fried Chicken, the Chicken Kiev and the black Angus Prime Rib. They each got a cup of the homemade meatball soup..."(amazing flavor they said)" and all of us had salad bar. We also have had outstanding service everytime we have ate here.



I Highly Reccomend this Restaurant if your looking for a nice supper club with a varity of food and a excellent salad Bar.
