I had my car towed to Price's in Murfreesboro, TN 11/4/15 after an event with 2 Kamikaze deer that ran into my car. I was told when I first called that they would call me the car arrived on their lot. No call received. I went to the Price's Collision Center location to sign the authorization form and was told I would get a call within the next 2 days with the estimate for the repairs and when to expect it to be ready. No call received. I called them yesterday, 11/9/15 and asked for the estimate and what the status of my car was. I was told they would have to call me back as their computer was down. Now it is the next day and no call received. Not a surprise at this point. I called them at 12:12PM and was told the person that could give this information had stepped out and they would call me back in 10 min. I advised of all the times they were going to "call me back" and in a week, it has not happened even once. She assured me she would call me back. Tick tock, Tick tock. At 12:41PM, I called them back. Had lengthy holds and apparent difficulties finding someone who had this information. Was told that "we have one of our guys going to the back of the shop to get the information". I finally got the information I requested but had to again ask for the estimate and hold. I told them I knew it had to be available as my insurance would have had to agree to it before they began working on it. Ugh! Why can't someone just do what they advertise they will do?
Honest and fair The bad reviews here are unfair and probably outright lies. There's no way this shop would treat customers poorly or rudely. Import Clinic owners are Christians and conduct business in a friendly and honest manner. I've been a customer for nearly 20 years. Import Clinic has a long standing record of serving customers and keeping their vehicles running at their best. Are they perfect? No. But, they have always made the situation right the few times that there was a mistake. (Many times "their" mistake was really no fault of their own... sometimes a new part is bad, etc. But Import Clinic corrects it for free and makes it right.) I'd like to point out that anyone may post here... anonymously, including disgruntled ex-employees (who were fired for stealing, etc..) and even the competitor shops maliciously post false reviews here and at other sites. "Good, bad, or indifferent—it's your story" ... or, your lies. Moreover, ex-parts suppliers (that were fired due to their consistent uncorrected mistakes and incompetence) can come here and post bad things about Import Clinic. The take away... Don't take what you read at face value. There are many bad people out there. Judge for yourself, firsthand. Try Import Clinic! You won't be sorry. Everyone wants an auto repair go to guy that is fair and honest... that can be trusted. This is the place! They've never done me wrong!
I arrived at work to find my car's radiator had busted. I had some big ticket plans that evening that I could not cancel, plus a hot date! I called around to other local shops to get some estimates. The more I called the grimmer the outlook for my evening became. Then I came across Bill's Import Clinic. A pleasant woman answered the phone. I explained my dilemma. Not only did she quote me a price that was over 1/2 of the other shops, she explained to me that she would try her best to get my car running by that evening. After I accepted the term, I proceeded to give her my information, by the time I got off the call; a tow truck had arrived and took my car away. YES, by the time I went outside my car was already loaded and on its way to the shop! As my work day came to an end I arranged to have a friend drop me off to pick up my car. To my surprise my car was sitting in the same parking spot I left it that morning. Not only was it fully repaired, the price was mind-blowing and the entire experience leaves me reassured that even though I drive and older car, these guys will treat me with respect and treat my car like it was brand new. It didn't even have any grease marks on it; I couldn't tell it had even been worked. I had to raise the hood and physical touch the radiator. You have my business. Job Well Done Bill, Job Well Done.
Took my car in to have some hail damage repaired. They said it would take 3 days.. it took 5. I had to call them on day 4 to get the status of my car. Car went in with almost 1/2 tank of gas, got it back running on fumes. I look at the paperwork, and they drove almost 200 miles. I asked why and they told me that they take hail damage to a 3rd party who is in Nashville. I was NEVER informed of this. Left a message for the General Manager in the Brentwood office with my complaint. Took him 3 days to call back. He said he'd call the shop to see how my demenor was before he'd deal with me. Another week passes and I hear nothing. I call back and was told the Murfreesboro shop was supposed to handle it. Well after 3 weeks they gave me a check for 1/2 a tank of gas. Price was also $500 more than quoted and they couldn't explain why, since it was a "paintless repair" and no parts were needed. I had to pay it or not have a car. If you want HONEST work done, stay away from this place.
I had noticed that my truck was not stopping as well as it usually does so I had taken it to a larger chain shop. The mechanics there told me that I had a bad master cylinder that I needed to have it replaced alone with all of my brake pads. They gave me an estimate of 1100 dollars to replace all my brake pads and rotors and drums and my master cylinder. I wanted a second opinion and as I was driving home I noticed Tire King near my house and stopped in just to get an estimate. When Codey inspected my brake system he had determined that all I needed was rear brake shoes, 1 brake drum, and a wheel cylinder. Tire King was able to fix this for just under 300 dollars and now my truck is back to its old self. I would recommend everyone get a second opinion on their repairs and have all of their cars fixed at Tire King. Thanks so much Guys!!!
I found working with this small shopto be a wonderful experience. I had originally taken my car to a different mechanic and was told that I needed front and back brakes as well as rotors and a few other minor things. I was hesitant about putting rotors on as my car didn't have many miles on it and I am on a tight budget. Rick (the shop owner) told me that I only needed front brakes, and no rotors. While I was going to need back brakes within a year, they were not a priority. He prioritized everything I would need and also pointed out what upcoming maintenance would be helpful. I did not feel pressured to do anything immediately and he helped me come up with a maintenance plan that I could gradually do without breaking the bank all in one fail swoop. I won't go anywhere else!
First would like to respond to JT's review.I would first like to let everyone know that we do not lie to anyone or not ever run and hide from anyone of our customers.This person as everyone can well see has not even once in his review of Dodge City stated the truth.So here is the truth.This one person wanted a full refund on a trans overhaul we had performed and could not justify what had happened to the trans or back up his story with any repair documentation.So hence no I cannot and will not refund a persons money if they cannot justify a failed component we replaced or lack of quality workmanship on our part.
Bill Harrell is the best! I was referred to him by a friend after a "mechanic" down on College St ruined my car and gave it back to me in worse condition than I gave it to him in. Anyway. Mr. Harrel fixed it for less than the other guy charged me to ruin it! I have an older Volvo, and it seemed like he was a Volvo expert by all of the other Volvos in his lot. He's got great prices and he's very prompt. He also explains everything he does for you so you know he isn't just charging you for random stuff. I'm moving soon, and I'm really sad to have to find a new mechanic for my baby.
Highly recommended. I took a car to him for a second opinion, not informing him that it was a garage that gave me a full estimate on repairs. He informed me that the car did not need any of the work that I was initially told needed done...he also found a fuel leak that the other garage did not mention...even after I told them while leaving the car that it had a very strong fuel smell. I will gladly call this garage in the future for any auto repair needs...we need more people like him in the auto repair business.
This is the only place i have taken my car for the last three years. Extremely reasonable quotes, quick service and they dependably fix my Jeep. If it is something i need done quickly, they work with me and if i am willing to leave my car there for them to get to (they do have other customers that were there first) they do the best they can to promptly get it back to me. My family and I have used many mechanics in Murfreesboro and this is now the only one we will use! Honesty, integrity and kindness wraps it up!
