I have already been to the Murfreesboro Cheddars twice. The first was complimentary as they were still training new staff. Cheddars opened on 12/4 and we visited tonight 12/7 @ 4:15. There was already a line and we waited for 15 for seating. I had the Talapia the first time and it was teriffic, done just right. The sides were cole slaw and broccoli. The cole slaw was slightly sweet and had a wonderful taste. The broccoli reminded me of Outback, which has the best in town. One of the unique things about this restaurant to both my wife and me is the broad range of good offerings. If I can find 3 items on most menus, I am happy. There isn't a thing on the Cheddars' menu not worth trying. Additionally, we both noticed that the prices are very reasonable and the servings quite large. My daughter joined us tonight and the three of us couldn't finish the delicious chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream (Blue Bell) and whipped cream...it was only $5.49. Tonight my wife had the salmon and said it was done just right, and she is VERY picky about how salmon is done, since it is usually overcooked. She had the rice as a side last time, and it was slightly spicey and very tasty...not that dried out rice we often get elsewhere. Tonight she ordered broccoli and carrots, which she also thought were quite tender, tasty and not overdone. I decided on the honey baby back ribs and realized later that I did not ask if they were Danish, which they obviously weren't. A full rack for $13.99, but not up to TGI Friday because they weren't Danish. I'm picky about ribs and won't order again. I'd give them an 8 out of 10 however. I just like 10 !!! Service was faster this time than 4 days ago, in spite of the large crowd (which was even bigger when we left !!!) We had appetizer, entre and dessert and out in about an hour and 15 minutes. We had a lively conversation and were very hungry, but didn't notice any inordinate delay like the other reviewer had. Many restaurants we go to seem to take FOREVER to get us the food..not here...not tonight.I am having an Army buddy/ college classmate in town next week. I am taking him to Cheddars for lunch. I would give Cheddars 4 1/2 stars as a casual dining establishment. Cheddars is not gourmet, like a Ruth Chris, but it is the best CD in town, and I have been here for 12 years and tried them all. For ribs, I'll go to TGIF. I think I'll try the salad for lunch and get to the readers on that.I will ask my wife to write a review and we'll see what she says.
The only reason I'm not giving cheddars a 5 star rating is because of the service I experienced tonight. I've been here a few times before, and every time everything was great. However tonight, my servers name was Hayley, and she was terrible. I have been serving for 4 years and counting, so I am usually very lenient with servers when I go out. But when I ordered my chicken tender salad, I asked for no carrots. She said only a very little amount of carrots came on it, so I said that was fine. When I got my salad, the thing was COVERED in a bed of carrots. Then I asked for another ranch, and I waited a good 20 minutes as I watched her text on her phone and sit up at the bar and flirt with the customers sitting there. My friend ordered an alcohol-free mudslide, and she asked to see his ID due to her claim that they're not supposed to serve even non-alcoholic drinks to minors. Bull crap, but good thing he is 21 so he could get his mediocre non-alcoholic drink 15 minutes later. When she gave us our checks when I wasn't even half way done with my food, she said "no rush". After 10 minutes she came back and told us she needed us to pay right away, when she brought our tickets back she told us to sign them, and she stood at our table waiting for her tip. NUMBER 1 RULE OF A SERVING NO-NO!!! She didn't even deserve the $2.00 I generously left her. So go ahead and go there, but with the risk of not knowing whether you're going to get good service or not.
I'm sitting in the restaurant leaving my review I'm that disgusted. Service was slow at best, I sat with an empty drink for over twenty minutes and when we asked for refills they were forgotten twice. Even with the slow service we felt they were over anxious to turn the table. My mother's salad tasted like dish soap and my chicken was slightly undercooked. The cherry on top? A server in the back Screamed so loud that it got the attention of all the tables despite being across the restaurant. How do I know it was an employee?? Because the other employees including the manager were gossiping as they walked past. I cannot remember the last time I had bad service. Slow? Yes could be better? Yes servers are human but but this was horrible. You could even feel the discord amoung the employees before the arguing
I've been to Peter D's twice and both times I've had horrible service. The whole staff is rude and the servers knew nothing about the menu. Both times I've been there the staff made me feel uncomfortable like I wasn't welcome. If I asked a question they would roll their eyes, and they talk about other customers amoung themselves but loudly enough for everyone else to hear. It mainly seems to be a bunch of college kids working there who have no respect for others or have a clue about customer service. The food is fantastic, but because of the terrible service and rude staff I won't be going back. Demos' is great though!
The food was great, and the atmosphere was great. Everything was awesome except our waiter was not very good. She was extremely awkward and acted like she didn't want to be there. It took her 10 minutes to bring out my girlfriend's water and 15 to bring my lemonade. The appetizer onion rings took about 30 minutes to come out and they came out after our meal was on the table. But as far as the quality for the price, you can't beat it. I just want a different waiter next time. I'll be back again and again no matter what the waiter/waitress does because of the food and atmosphere.
The staff here is awesome. We have made this our Sunday go to for brunch. I realize it is a chain and the food will be as such, but we come more for the experience. The brunch menu is excellent and the service makes it even better. Come on a Sunday, sit at the bar, and relax before you start the next work week.
Great food, pathetic management. 20 min wait at 11:15. Half of the tables not being used. 1/3 of tables in use needed bussed. Changing brand to First Watch. If same owner and management it will make no difference. I love the apple cinnamon pancake.
The food is the same standard chain restaurant quality as all the other Logan's restaurants I have tried, but the service isn't great. They are slow on weekends, so get there in the early afternoon if you want to get your food in a timely manner.
Toots is AWESOME! The lunch menu is good for the money. I go there all the time and its always been good food. They have sooooo much better food than hooters and the servers have enough clothes on so I can take my kids too.
The food and service was good. One of my orders required the chicken to be grilled hard. When corrected, my friend who ate the food RAN to the bathroom to throw up everywhere. Needless to say I won't be back.
