WARNING I would never go to this animal hospital!

This place is all about money!!

There is nothing else on there minds.

Very rude. Would not even give an estimate of costs.

To them, it is all about adding on unnecessary tests.

After 25 years working with animals; I know a good place from a bad place

This place is bad and I do not recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!!!!

Han is horrible!

I just left from my 3rd visit from this animal hospital. The first two times my cats saw Dr Withey and this third time they saw Han.

Also for grooming April is amazing and great with my cats. 5 stars for her and she leaves my cats looking so cute with their lion cuts and bow.

Only have your pet see Dr. Withey! She knows what she is doing and is very friendly. With her I felt my cats were in safe hands to get treated and I felt like she genuinely cared about my cats. 5 stars for dr Withey

Dr. Han is horrible and rude exactly like the reviews say. Seriously all the bad reviews about him reflect what I experienced right now with my visit. He doesn't even sound like he knows what he is doing. I just left and will never let my cats see Han again. I even expressed my dissatisfaction to the reception about him. ZERO STARS FOR HAN! you need to get your license taken away after what I read on yelp and experienced.

I'm a client of 6 years and the staff all show they really care for the animals. They don't try to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Jamie the groomer is just wonderful with my dog. He loves her. He's never been so calm with any other. She's a lovely, sweet girl.

Will never take my pets there ...

Will never take my pets there again. My dog was given medication for his epilepsy, which resulted in him not being able to even stand up. When I spoke with Dr. Han, I was told to continue the medication and to give my dog pain killers. The next day, my dog was worse, so I took him off his meds and took him to a specialist who diagnosed him with bromide toxicity - he was essentially poisoned! Good thing I took him off the medication before his organs failed. So, I will NEVER take any pet to them.

Best in the region! First, I love this place because it is always clean and the staff always gives the most professional service. I recently adopted two dogs (who came from the same household) and I was concerned about the separation anxiety one of them was having. He was not only having separation anxiety but other emotional issues. The doctor empathized with my pet and helped us with a plan to make my pet more comfortable in his new environment. He is now a healthy, stable and loving dog and I am very thankful for the Munster Animal Staff! You guys are the best!

We brought in our cat with a g...

We brought in our cat with a growth on her leg. The doctor was unable to determine what it was so they told us they went on the internet to figure it out. I did the very same thing before I brought her in, that’s why I brought my cat to what I thought were the ‘professionals.’ The doctor decided that surgery was the best option to remove the growth but my cat needed to be caught up on vaccinations in order to be operated on there. I was leery about this because over-vaccination can have negative effects in cats, including amputation of the limb where the injection took place and even death. We agreed to the vaccinations after they insisted that surgery was the best option. They also did blood work during this visit as a precaution. When we took her in for her surgery and dropped her off, we got a call from the doctor saying they misread the blood work and that she’ll have to be on medication for a few weeks before surgery to make sure she’s healthy enough. We obliged and started the medication with their instructions. About four days after starting the medicine my cat became comatose. She didn’t’ eat, she didn’t drink, she wasn’t active, she just slept all day and started losing weight. Alarmed by this I did my own investigating on the internet and found that the dosage she was getting was fit a person, not a 15lb animal! I called Munster Animal hospital and spoke with a doctor and they said that my cat would normally be like this, that the medicine was working, and that everything was fine. I’m sorry, but I know my pets inside and out. I know their appetite, I know their activity levels, I know when something is wrong. This was NOT normal, NOT normal for any pet! After arguing with him he looked at the charts again and realized she should have been getting HALF a pill, not the TWO they instructed us to give her! This was causing her to be comatose, it was not normal! They also had the wrong information in her chart, and had no record of us picking up and starting her on her medicine. Total incompetence all around! I will never set foot in here again, and they will never get any of my money.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE

I took my pet here for a simple nail clipping, and the assistant wanted me to muzzle my dog. I tried to, but I never had to do anything like that before and told her I don't know how to do it. She was annoyed with me and said she couldn't do it because she is disabled. (If she can't handle animals then what is she doing there as an assistant?) So, the doctor came in upset that he had to do it, and took a rope around his nose and neck and was pulling so tight that my dog's eyes were bulging out and the rope was actually smashing his nose into his face. The woman came back in yelling at the doctor that it was too tight, that he couldn't breathe, to let go. He was saying it is not too tight, and was pulling so hard. (My dog is only 12 pounds by the way and this is a man pulling as hard as he can). He starts yelling at her to put the muzzle on, she does, and says I know you are mad but you can't take it out on the dog. You need to loosen up, he can't breathe it is too tight. So,

Several listings

This clinic is listed by it's old address, 9460 Calumet, and their new address at 10421 Calumet, Dr. Han, etc. All reviews should be combined so users get true assesment of this clinic over the years. I would only go back for a routine shot maybe. Nothing else. I don't trust them anymore. Wrong diagnosis. Mixed up belongings. The staff doesn't really know your dog, because so many come and go. My pet has an incurable condition because this clinic insisted nothing out of the usual was going on, delaying a proper diagnosis and early intervention.

Wrong diagnosis

After recieving only brief care at appointments for many visits (ie. they take him somewhere, give him a shot, bring him back), along with conflicting answers from different vets, I worked to get a more thorough evalution of my dogs health. When I tried to get information, Dr. wouldn't/couldn't answer, repeatedly stating that my dog had the condition before coming to their clinic. Yes, I knew that. I told him about the difficulty in climbing the steps or getting up - he said the dog was old and had arthritis. I asked about the cloudiness in his eyes, he said it was cateracts and nothing could be done. It was very draining to get direct answers. the Dr. sat on the floor against the wall (no chairs in the room - they don't want consultations) and really didn't examine my dog. Not sure of the diagnosis, I took him to another vet. My dog was suffering with the pressure from glaucoma, not cateracts, and at only 8 years young, tests showed no sign of arthritis or hip problems at all.

Dog Killers

They should put up a OUT OF BUSINESS sign. They killed my dog. All the doctors including the owner should go back to SCHOOL. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVING PET THERE if you want them to live a long and happy life.
