I went to this place to see if they did cars upolstrey the owner said yes he came and looked at my car and quote me and asked for a half deposit $900 he said he would hav car done by july 2016 cause i needed for a car show . Alex never started my car and its was month already. Everytime i called him he had so many excuses that the material didnt come in this and that we finally called the mundelien pokice to force him to give us our deposit back he refused and said bring the car on monday but still he didnt comply till the following monday he had some othet guy.. I guess alex dont do upolstrey at all just paints furniture. Well the guy quit on him so my car was left incomplete again finally he had this other guy start my headliner and was ininstall but halfway all the parts werent put back not even the floor rug was fitted correctly and my car seats are missing bolts. Alex never ever called to keep me inform and all he did was lie lie lie. 3 months of stress rip me of

What a disappointing experience.... I have a nice leather set (sofa, loveseat, chair, & ottoman) that needed 1) the back brace fixed on the sofa, and 2) all of the cushions refilled. Alex did a reasonable job on the back brace repair, and did install new (I presume) foam in the seat cushions, but neglected to do the ottoman and the backs. Biggest mistake I made was paying him the balance before all the work was finished! He returned the cushions and the (unfinished) ottoman, and said he'd be back to pick up the sofa to add fiber to the back cushions. 4 times I either came home from work early, or left late to be home for the pick up, and he stood me up all 4 times. I stopped by his shop yesterday, and he said to my face that he'd be here this morning, and didn't show up. I guess I'll get my first experience with small claims court....

Unless I truly believe that sharing my story can help out other people.For many like me I'll give the option to cut this story short, but by all means... if you want more insight into why, know I am making some sacrifices to write to be able to explain how. What I experienced today was a group of people prioritizing the bottom-line over running an honest business. meaning they care more about your money more than your satisfaction. If your reading this at a late enough day, try clicking on my username to see my only other review as this will be the shop that worked for me as I still need work to be completed on my interior. I'm doing this because as much as I hate writing bad reviews I feel the moral obligation to maybe to help out another good person by suggesting whatever the better alternative may be. So I recently a bought used car and was looking to find a place for it to reupholstered and I came across Albo restoration in a Google search. As I was going inspecting my vehicle upon completion I noticed that they failed to replace some old leather. In broken English they replied with something along the gist of "because it wasn't torn, it was not replaced". Even though I had the invoice in my hand stating the entire seat cushion was to be replaced, I was being told that it meant 2/3 of the seat cover. Persistent I still try to work this out with calmness and clarity. So as any professional business owner would she now dares to tear up the invoice and proceeding with the yelling. At this point I tried to deal with the calmer partner, when I did point he trys to sell me on paying me more money for the same work that the invoice stated would be done. Something was off as one the partners states me this repair would be another $50, and the other tells $160 at separate times during the same conversation. Hope this helps in some way!
I Have a very bad exprience with Magic Hands, they do very poor quality work , take more than 6 weeks to do 4 chairs, Expensive, bad customer service, No happy with them
Bad work,poor material they used,over priced, not professional,stinks on cigarettes and alcohol.Dont do business with them.Alex the owner charge my credit card twice.
Irene and her team performed a wonderful restoration of the interior of my 2009 Subaru Impreza, including new leather seats throughout, with contrasting stitching, and complete interior detailing. It is a stunning result. On top of everything, she was extremely to easy to work with and her prices are very reasonable. I recommend Albo Restoration without any reservations.
These folks are great. I had them redo my truck seat and the quality is excellent. It is actually more comfortable than when it was new. And, it was the best customer service experience I've had in a long time. They accommodated my schedule and took very good care of me.
