Shoreline Village Apartments

This is a nice place in a great location. The apartment complex is well kept at a great value and management is great. Whenever we need maintenance or have any questions, they've taken care of it in a reasonable amount of time. The complex is also well maintained and in good condition, the pool and trimmings are well kept, and they even provide free wireless internet outside. This is easily the best place I've lived so far in Mountain View, it's at a great location and is a great overall value. Highly recommended.

This apt. complex, Shoreline Village Apts. seems at first look to be a bargain. It is relatively affordable for Mountain View, CA., close to everything and has decent square footage. However, there are some serious problems with the way management runs their operation. I have been there less than one year and they are raising my rent by 4% out of the blue.

They management allows whole groups of (looks like illegals) to occupy one bedroom apts. There are alot of loud, drunken fights to all hours of the night and management doesn't do anything about them. The place is filthy. They cut the grass and keep the grounds and pool clean but they neglect all of the hallways and corridors and their tenants throw trash everywhere. No one in management seems to care that we live in a pig sty. In addition, they do not fumigate the apts. and cockroaches abound. There are also plenty of illegal substances that one can smell freely while walking around the hallways and the managers don't care about that either. Some tenants pile discarded furniture and appliances in the hallways, blocking egress, which is not only an eyesore, it is a fire hazard. Additionally, I have been a victim of petty theft, someone stole my bike lights off of my bike that was chained outside at their bike rack. The carports are so narrow, they damage your car so I am forced to park on the streets.

I don't recommend this place unless you are planning to stay a very, very short time.
