Massage Envy billed me for 32 months, $1920 without even the courtesy of notifying me that they were resuming my suspended account. I happened to look at my credit card account and saw an automatic payment to them. What? I had been a member long ago and when I hadn't used the membership for 6 months, I told them I wanted to cancel. They said I would lose the 6 massages I had built up, but that I could suspend my membership and not lose them. This I did. 38 months ago. Then I forgot about it. 6 months later they started billing my card again without mentioning this to me, ever, for 32 MONTHS. That comes to $1,920. Sure, blame me for not paying attention to that credit card, but they are brazenly taking advantage of my mistake. Their answer to me is basically: "Tough." I can't imagine that a customer friendly business would hold to a policy that would bill someone for two years and 8 months for absolutely zero services and with no reminder that the billing was going on.
