Mount Tabor Historical Society, formed in 1990, undertakes various community projects to highlight the historic and natural beauty of Mount Tabor, N.J. The society operates Mount Tabor Museum that collects, preserves, and presents American art. It has a collection of a variety of objects and images that include costumes, textiles, toys, paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, theater, and prints. The museum also collects and preserves historical documents, photographs, postcards and memorabilia. The society organizes fund-raising events, and has also established a subcommittee Mount Tabor preservation fund that provides financial assistance for restoration, renovation and stabilization of historic structures. Mount Tabor Historical Society is located in Mount Tabor, N.J.
