Exotic Vet Care
814 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
Exotic Vet Care is a specialty veterinary practice dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders affecting birds, reptiles and other exotic animals (ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits, fish, etc). We are currently the only state of the art veterinary hospital in South Carolina created especially for the needs of birds and exotic animals. We also accept referral cases from veterinarians throughout the state and surrounding areas.
We are a complete medical and surgical facility specialized in the lifelong care of avian and exotic pets. We offer prepurchase consultations to ensure that the pet you select is right for you, your family and your lifestyle. Regular wellness care and diagnostic testing allows us to monitor your pet's progress and respond to any issues immediately, often before external symptoms manifest. When problems exist, our expertise allows us to quickly determine the best treatment plan, and with birds and exotic pets time is always of the essence.
Our birds and exotics-only boarding facility caters to the special needs of our patients. Boarders receive high-quality diets and treats according to their needs as well as lots of interaction and attention from our doctors, nurses and staff, and are maintained in a stress-free environment that is the next best thing to being home.
Pets who have not been on an ideal diet will benefit from our dietary conversion process, which is done under careful supervision and at no additional charge for boarders in need of assistance. Medication administration, grooming and other services as needed are always available for our boarders. We are open 9am - 1pm on the first and third Saturdays of each month for merchandise sales and visits by appointment.
