Before I continue writing my review any further let me first say that I have stayed here numerous times over the past year and a half and while the rooms aren't necessarily perfect they are a good value if you have a coupon (available at the visitor's center on the same road as the hotel) and are comfortable. When I did have significant issues with my room the management was willing to help resolve problems I had by reducing my room rate a couple times at check out and even allowed me to use an expired coupon before since I stayed there so often and were welcoming when they recognized us when we checked in. It pains me to rate this hotel so low since I have many fond memories here, however, after my first stay now that the hotel has new owners I have already had a bad experience. We were booked a handicapped room for some reason even though we did not ask for it and are obviously not disabled and the room had numerous problems including: a leaky shower head, loose towel racks, a dirty towel with a blue stain and curly black hair, stained carpet, and an annoying connecting door which enabled dog barking to be heard very loudly. Also, I was woken up twice by employees rudely trying to enter the room to replace the fridge and to clean the room even though check out isn't until noon (there was no do not disturb sign for me to hang to avoid this). Although I can look past this many problems if my room rate is adjusted accordingly the new owner would not let me apply a coupon at check out or adjust the room rate whatsoever since "the taxes have already been paid" even though the system is able to do that since I had it done in the past. I would have been happy with even a $10 deduction in the room rate for the problems I listed off to him but he was unwilling to offer anything, not even an apology for the room's unkempt state. The hotel already does not feel nearly as welcoming or friendly as it did before and it seems like where I once enjoyed staying is now a thing of the past and has sadly turned into an inhospitable money-hungry venture. I do not mean to sound racist but it appears most of the staff has already been replaced by the owner's family or friends who are from a very populated country in south Asia. This is fine but if you're going to live up to stereotypes and try to keep every penny you take in then good luck keeping your visitors happy or repeat guests coming back as you attempt to profit off of your crumbling American dream.

I've stayed here twice on the third floor and the rooms were fine but during my most recent and last stay here our room was on the ground floor and it was in very poor condition. The drywall near and on the ceiling was in bad shape in numerous places and there was mold scattered all over the upper part of the walls throughout the room, especially in the bathroom area around the shower and mirror. Not only was the room a health hazard, but the shower barely drained, the lamp shades were yellowed, the phone was covered in stains, and to top it all off there was a dead spider in the bathroom. There were a good amount of TV channels, though. When I went to get waffles that tasted off from the disappointing continental breakfast with watered down juice I asked the front desk clerk who turned out to be the manager about getting a partial refund for the room but he told me that was impossible since I didn't complain earlier and had already stayed in it the entire night. I then asked him if he could give me Wyndham Rewards points for my stay and he thought that I wanted to check out and with yet even more attitude said I couldn't do that since I was bringing breakfast back to the room. Once it was time to check out I asked another front desk attendant about getting a partial refund for the room's problems and she asked if I had talked to someone earlier and when I said yes she informed me that I had talked to the manager and that she could not override his decision and there was nothing she could do. I was surprised that I had talked to the manager earlier since he was so rude, but if you have any issues whatsoever with your room you better alert the front desk immediately and then experience the pleasure of moving from room to room until you hopefully find a good one or forget about ever getting your problems resolved or even some of your hard-earned money back.

We have 3 children. This is a very nice place to stay. Good food. All the free extras like soda popcorn happy hour and breakfast. Very clean and new. Indoor outdoor pool. Front desk and Chris the manager very friendly and helpful.
